I am a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor Degree in Education. I have experience
working in Quality Inspection at MacDermid Printing Solutions and Lions Volunteer Blind Industries. I am
interested in obtaining a position where I can apply my skills and experience that also has potential for growth.
Experience
Interim and Substitute Teaching Positions – 8/2012 to Present
Over the past two years I have filled two interim teaching positions and accumulated over 200 teaching days
as a substitute teacher.
Student Teacher (Intern)
1/2012 to 5/2012
The East Tennessee State University Education Program requires working as a student teacher. My assignments
were at Russellville Intermediate and Russellville Primary School in Morristown, Tennessee. The program required
teaching the Fourth Grade and Kindergarten, for seven weeks each.
Earned high marks for the quality of classroom teaching, lesson plans and instructional materials used in
teaching diverse subjects (e.g., language, reading, mathematics, and social studies).
Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new teaching methods.
Developed approaches to the required curriculum that were effective for the students of the classroom.
Taught general education students and individuals with learning challenges within a mainstreamed, inclusive
classroom.
Attended in-service presentations to improve on my teaching abilities.
Lions Volunteer Blind Industries - Morristown, TN
Quality Inspector - 5/2011 to 7/2011
Summer position - Worked on the manufacturing floor as a quality inspector. This position required daily
interaction with management and co-workers to insure that the quality of camouflage helmet covers met the quality
specifications of the all branches of the U.S Military. Lions Volunteer Blind Industries supplies 100% of the
Marine Corp covers and 50% of the other armed forces.
MacDermid Printing Solutions – Morristown, TN
Quality and Packing- 5/2010 to 7/2010
Summer position - Worked in packaging. This position required that I worked together in sets of two with my
fellow employees to safely move the plates from the line to the packaging room. Before packing of materials, we
were required to inspect the plates for any defects that may have formed and report the type and amount of defects
to Quality Management and moved the items to a hold area for further evaluation.
