countries.
Director of People Development; Senior Instructional Designer
Designed, developed and implemented learner-focused solutions that
addressed the needs of a dynamic hotel business employing over 10,000
associates worldwide. Delivered ground up creation of branded service
training programs for Radisson Hotels, Country Inns & Suites By Carlson,
Regent Hotels International, Park Inn and Park Plaza to facilitate annual
Guest Satisfaction Index improvements. All programs included Video
Production featuring both Carlson Hotel Employees and On-camera Talent.
Managed multiple learning projects simultaneously, each with a project
budget of up to $250k. Directed a team of 3 internal training and
development professionals as well as several outside training, graphic
design, video production and print vendors.
. Assessed, designed, and developed the Yes I Can! Service and
Management Training for 400+ Radisson Hotels globally. Program
features a blended learning approach utilizing hands-on training, DVD
instruction, coaching tools and media. Led program Master Trainer
Roll-out and taught presentation skills to trainers.
. Developed Friends Hosting Friends Service Training for 500+ Country
Inns & Suites Hotels. Training initiative led to creation of the
Country Service 'brand', coining of brand-wide service language, and
implementation of a brand-driven service culture.
. Designed Select for Talent Program and tool to ensure selection of the
"right" employees by hotel managers. Interview tool included
questions customized for four separate brands.
. Built the 'Rev It Up!' Sales Training and recognition program for
Country Inns & Suites hotels, enabling front desk employees to up sell
and close sales.
. Delivered presentations to new Hotel General Managers during monthly
Radisson and Country Inns & Suites brand orientations.
. Produced the Extra Thoughtful Care stay-over guest video program for
Radisson housekeepers. Utilizing a staff meeting guide, wordless DVD
and media bookmarks, in-room guest service standards were illustrated
by housekeeping supervisors for staff members.
. Created Way of Life Toolbox (15-20 minute activities) used by Radisson
supervisors to cover key business issues (i.e., employee engagement,
guest service, safety, security and operations) during staff meetings.
. Assessed and developed employee engagement workshops (Gallup-based
curriculum) for corporate and hotel managers focusing on developmental
opportunities identified through employee surveys. Drove improvements
in annual employee engagement survey results.
. Established key operational staff meeting guides for business
