PROJECT TITLE : ADVANCED SLEEP DETECTION SYSTEM TO AVOID

ROAD

ABSTRACT :

Our aim is to alert the driver who tends to doze off while driving to avoid road

crashes. In this system using a small camera that points directly towards the driver’s face,

an image is obtained. From that image, skin region i.e. face is segmented out using

various image processing techniques. Finally localization of eyes is done, which

determines whether the eyes are open or closed. If the eyes are found closed for 3 to 4

consecutive frames, the system draws the conclusion that the driver is falling asleep and

issues a warning signal (an alarm) & then the vehicle will stop by itself with lights

blinking to indicate to other commuters that it is coming to a halt.

ABSTRACT :

The main concept behind the project is receiving the sent SMS and Processing it further as

required to perform several operations. The type of the operation to be performed depends on

the nature of the SMS Sent. It also detects the presence of a dangerous LPG leak in your home

or in an industry, storage tank environment. This unit can be easily incorporated with GSM

modem. So we can identify the leakage via an SMS.
