from my resume, I have a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and History

and more than 18 years of experience as a claims representative.

As a property adjuster, I handle a high volume of major and minor property

claims, conduct field investigations and interface daily with claimants,

general contractors, restoration companies and other specialist. Claims'

adjusting often involves denials and require excellent communication skills

and the ability to handle extremely difficult customer relation situations

with tact and diplomacy.

As a liability adjuster I am skilled in mediating disputes between

policyholders and vendors. I am experienced in handling claim settlements

involving slip and falls, dog bites and others of similar nature.

As an adjuster, I have gained a reputation for handling a high volume of

QUALIFICATIONS

Eighteen years of experience in evaluating and estimating

residential mobile homes and commercial property, extensive

experience in utilizing Xactimate 27.5 & Simsol programs. In

addition, I am experienced with handling injury claims.

Detailed oriented self-starter with the ability to handle

multiple tasks and adhere to strict deadlines. Strong

negotiator with excellent verbal and written communication

As a property adjuster I have worked to confirm coverage, review damages

estimates involving fire, smoke, structure, water, weather, ALE, business

interruption, set reserves, evaluate and negotiate settlements for a

variety of residential mobil homes and commercial risks. Direct

investigations, review damage estimates and claims settlement activities of

IA field adjusters & vendors, as well as prepare my own estimates. I have

Practices, legal decisions affecting claims operations, Claims Plan, Claims

Handling Procedures Manual and corporate claims policies and procedures

As a liability/casualty adjuster I have handled litigated or complicated

claims, including, but not limited to cases involving severe damage,

coverage, sensitive issue, bad faith and declaratory relief action,

analyzed and resolve coverage problems and issues, recommend changes in

policy language if/when necessary, write Denial or Reservation of Rights

letters when appropriate or necessary.

Initially establish and maintain proper loss reserves and negotiate loss

settlements, conduct in-house investigation, by recording statements,

ordering police reports, securing medical reports, reviewing repair

estimates, etc., attend necessary meetings or appearances on assigned

claims as directed or approved by Supervisor, maintain control of outside

vendors/attorneys and their expenses by directing assignments and limiting

their scope so as to maximize cost efficiency while minimizing delays in

claim handling, adhere to provisions of Litigation Management Program and

cost containment principle, maintain compliance with Fair Claims Practices

Act or rules and internal instructions, keep supervisor, reinsurer and

excess insurer informed regarding significant developments in claims,

prepare required reports and other notices in a timely manner.

August 2013- Present Mercury Insurance (Temp Assignment) Camarillo Office

Property Adjuster

In-office position, duties included estimating water, wind,

theft, vandalism, contents, fire, smoke and additional living

expenses (ALE) homeowner claims. Review Independent adjuster

reports and estimates, review vendor services reports and

estimates, write reports for settlements or denials, prepare

reservation of rights letters, make settlement payments with

manager approval. Assigned and supervised approved independent

property adjusters, Document files according to Mercury

Insurance standards.

November 2012 - August 2013 Knight Management Insurance Complex Specialist

In-office position Liability/Casualty Adjuster -Property and Bodily Injury

Adjuster. I handled losses from $500.00 to $1,000,000.00. Duties included

working with defense council include reviewing, monitoring and directing of

the activities of the attorneys and outside vendors to resolve the claim as

well as working with the policyholders and medical vendors, versed in

paying medical bills and very strong with coverage. Commercial vehicles

involved were buses Jitney's garbage trucks and taxi's as well as insured

personal vehicles. I was also involved with mediations and arbitrations and

trials. I worked claims in the states and cities of California,

Philadelphia, New York, New Jersey Boston South Carolina and Florida. I

handle over 200 files litigated and non-litigated or complicated general

liability files under homeowners and auto, and other suits which may have

been assigned. Negotiated settlements and took recorded and written

statements of claimants witnesses and insured's.

I also handled commercial property mobile homes and homeowner's claims

including the CAT storms in New York. I handled all aspects of personal

lines and commercial line property damage claims. Exposures included

structure, smoke, fire, water, content, vandalism, additional living

expenses and CAT duty, made settlement payments with manager approval.

losses. Duties included supervising over twenty field adjusters, estimating

damages for residential mobile homes and commercial property losses due to
