Academic Project

Project1: Ecommerce (Shopping Cart)

Language of Implementation: JEE[struts2, hibernate JPA], PHP

DESCRIPTION:

In this project we developed an Ecommerce solution named GRABIT for users and sellers who

gets connected with one another though our application like AMAZON.com. For the high traffic part

of the application i.e. the customer part of the shopping cart, we used JEE with technologies like

STRUTS 2 and HIBERNATE JPA to boost the efficiency of the application. But for the less traffic

portion i.e. the Inventory management system by the sellers was created with PHP. We tried to use all

open source technology due to their platform independent nature. Although we used two different

languages we were able to run the application from a single application server i.e. without the use of

any web service we were able to connect the two languages using a special jar RESIN.jar .

Project2: Online Travel Deal

Language of Implementation: Java (J2EE [Servlet/Jsp])

Operating System: platform independent

DESCRIPTION:

The objective of this project is to create a portal for selling different travel deals like

YATRA.COM . We used Jsp/Servlet combination with Mysql as backend database to develop the

application .
