created for all Echo Taxi Owners for cheap repairs, funerals, insurance, and lawyers.

Gabacho's Cantina - Chilliwack, BC - September 1994 to July 2003

Responsibilities

Hired new staff. Fully trained. Everything from Customer service to dress, attitude on the job, delivery systems

to insure quick service standards set by me. I took responiblity for all facets of business. If food was slow my

fault, if service was slow, my fault. I train, I take full responsibility. If a waiter is slow, it is my fault for not training

correctly, or for hiring the wrong person.

Accomplishments

We triple our business in size. My first restaurant. We won Best in the City 4/7 years, not competing first 2

years.

We won Best in Western Canada.

We started at 42 seats. Quickly grew to 65. After a year and a half, we took out an apt. next door, and grew

to 85 seats, with new washrooms.

We then, being to busy for our size, added 30 feet of building to back, and 5 feet to Kitchen,expanding to 85

seats with a Dancefloor for the kids with lights they controlled.

Skills Used

No partners, no one to advise. Did it all myself. Budget, Cash as we went, Hiring and training correctly so there

is no excuses. I let the staff know at the beginning what was expected.

Non-Abusive management. Only fired two people in entire history of restaurant.

Very very little sick time taken by staff. We were very smooth in all aspects of the operation, with a happy and

gratefull staff for the great money they made. Tips were for the waiters, but 2 1/2 percent went to back kitchen

staff, giving them all 1-3 dollars an hour more on top of wages.

Driver

BC TRANSIT - Vancouver, BC - September 1989 to May 1994

Responsibilities

Drove spare board, meaning a different route each day.

Accomplishments

Drove with no accidents and no tickets for entire time with company.

Drove Electric Trolley, Articulated, and Diesel buses.
