Desk and the Risk, Governance and Compliance Department, as well as the individual

My responsibilities, as part of the Domestic Portfolio team, included;
o Actively managed and reviewed a portfolio of 22 corporate customers with total lending €440m.
Reviews consisted of a full credit analysis encompassing summary financials and ratios, company
background & history, 5 year historic financials, industry condition & expectations, competitor
analysis, management experience & background, any other relevant information and internal risk
systems data. Based on the full review I would decide on a recommendation to credit committee of
whether to increase lending limits, maintain current limits or reduce lending to the company. My
industries included telecoms, retail, agriculture and hoteliers.
o Liaising with the Business Development and Leveraged Acquisition Finance teams
o Remaining up to date on any developments in the industries covered, funding markets and with wider
economic conditions, domestic and international
o Attending weekly discussions on on-going credit reviews and potential customers and discussing as a
team the potential issues involved with each
o Managed transactional banking of clients within the portfolio
o Attending regular meetings with clientss to discuss their current and future lending requirements and
any other issues they had
