I was honoured to have been selected two years in a row as a Link Crew
leader. It has provided me with many rewarding experiences while mentoring
grade nine students. I have had the opportunity to lead groups in team
building, while providing positive influences.
As a link crew leader I have been through some of the challenges that high
school poses and I am able to provide support and guidance to the grade 9
students knowing that the transition to high school can be overwhelming.
Miracle on Main Street is a non-profit organization that I am involved
with. Throughout the year we collect donations that support the Women's
shelters; Sick Kids Hospital; and The Salvation Army.
Some of my responsibilities include prepping the food, coordinating
activities such as; games and crafts. As well as requesting donations from
businesses and individual's.
I was one out of a 100 students to get picked for this school organization.
I am Part of a group that works together to help create awareness of social
concerns and emotional trouble in their community. I take a leadership role
in the group and provide assistance to all other members.
