Personal Profile

Leadership Qualifications:

. Barrel O' Fun:

I am currently working in the food production industry as well

as learning how to be an excellent supervisor and team leader. I have

a daily meeting with my General Manager and Production Manager to

review the previous day's numbers. Then, I prepare for my shift by

comparing the production schedule to my team to obtain an ideal

placement of my workers. Before my shift begins, I meet with my

workers to instruct them on the day's schedule as well as things we

are doing well and things we need to work on. Once the shift begins

it is my job to make sure everyone has the resources they need to do

their job and help out where I am needed. At the end of my shift, I

prepare payroll and a report of the shift's production numbers for the

next day's meeting.

. FedEx Freight and FedEx Ground:

I have more than two years of experience working at two

different FedEx Freight facilities that operate in different ways,

along with additional experience working at FedEx Ground previous to

that. This experience has given me insight into the most efficient

ways to operate a distribution center. In recent months, I have been

given the responsibility to oversee the outbound shift of dockworkers

as a fill-in supervisor position.

. Warehouse Team Member:

During my 5 years of experience as a warehouse worker, I have

learned the importance of delegation and individual responsibility. I

have also learned that it is important for team members to help out

when and where they can. I think this philosophy will serve me well

as a supervisor.

. Academic:

I spent the last 4 years of my academic career studying business

principles and management. This has helped me to understand the inner

workings of various types of businesses, including distribution

centers. During my career, much of my education was focused in group

projects where I learned to take a leadership role as needed.

Leadership Skills:

In my experience, the best leaders have two attributes: they lead by

example and they are effective communicators. I believe I possess these

two qualities because I have many years of experience working as a part of

several diverse teams where communication skills were crucial. I have also

learned through my work experience that it is important that a good leader

isn't afraid to get into the details of the work they have delegated to

their team. I strongly believe in leading by example.

Personal Professional Goal: Ultimately, I would like to become

established in a management level position within a business which has a

mission that I believe in.
