ABSTRACT OF THE PROJECT:

An Energy meter is a device which is used to measure the consumption of energy of any

residence or other industrial establishment. In India the conventional system using is sluggish and

laborious. Because the electric board lire the person to visit the consumers place directly and record

the readings manually. In this conventional system the possibility of malpractices such as current

reversal, partial earth fault condition, bypass meter and magnetic interference etc,.are more . The

proposed GSM BASED INTELIGEBT EB METER SYSTEM record the readings and calculating

cost automatically. And the chance of malpractices can be avoided. It reduces the manual needs. The

disconnection of the power supply over not paying consumers will be done automatically by using

relay.

CO- CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:

• Presented a paper on “GSM based intelligent EB meter system” in the international Conference

held on Feb 20th 2014 at DMI College of Engineering, Aralvaimozhi.

• Publishing a paper “GSM based intelligent EB meter system ” in International Journal of

Modern Trends in Engineering and Science(IJMTES) Volume 01 – Issue 04 .

• Presented a paper on “Visible Light Communication For Optical Wireless Data

Transmission” in the national level Conference held on Feb 7 th 2014 at Easa College Of

Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore.

• Presented a paper on “Li-Fi For High Optical Wireless Data Transmission ” in the national

level Conference held on March 7th 2014 at Sri Krishana College Of Technology, Coimbatore.

• Attended one day national workshop on “ image processing application and hand on training for

MATLAB ” organized by the SAECE at SNS College of Engineering on

• Participated workshop on “Intelligent Autonomous Robotics” held at TamilNadu college of engineering,
