WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Taught early learning skills such as the alphabet and writing to a pre-school child
• Provided structure and instilled responsibility in a grade school child helping to modify her
behavior and prepare her for early elementary education
• Transported both children I cared for to various community settings such as Public Library and
ballet class outside of school in order to give them the opportunity to expand their learning and
skills.
Therapeutic Staff Support Member at Chester County Regional Education Services (2009-2012)
• Guided and treated both verbal and non-verbal children with autism from pre-school to elementary
school age groups across school, home and community settings.
• Applied behavior modification techniques with guidance from several different behavior specialist
consultants and case managers as well as assisting them in expanding on their current treatment
plans and strategies
• Functioned as an intermediary for a diverse team of specialists ranging from Physical therapists,
occupational therapists, and various teachers from diverse educational backgrounds to assist them
in following a treatment plan approved and reviewed by all parties concerned.
• Worked with anywhere from three clients at a time over a year seeing them transition from
different schools and education levels while collecting data and seeing improvement in their social
and coping skills as described in the treatment plan.
Pennsylvania Conservation Corpsmember, Division of Pennsylvania Department of Labor and
Industry (2005-2008)
• Tended an 18th Century farmstead at Landis Valley Museum; Demonstrating period farming
techniques and handicrafts to large school groups ranging from 500-700 patrons in a day as well as
the general public anywhere from 200-300 people at any given time.
• Carried out many public service projects including restoring a Civil War cemetery and renovating
a public housing facility and playground for mentally challenged children.
• Interpreted Pennsylvania Dutch living skills ranging from the years
1740-1940 to visiting tourists
• Repaired and assembled an all-new 18th century period fencing, replacing an electric and metal
based fence with an authentic wooden structure that would have been used at original homestead.
