International Project Exposure - Feb-2014 till date - with Asia Pulp &

Paper (Sinarmas group) in Jakarta, Indonesia as Project Manager (Power

plant project engineering, management & execution)

< Project Manager (total in charge) for a 900 MW green field power project

as an expatriate (boiler with bubbling fluidized based technology &

recovery boiler) for OKI pulp & paper project (an investment of USD 2.64

billion in Palembang, Indonesia, one of the largest pulp & paper project

in the world).

< Reviewing & engineering of drawings, layouts, finalization of technical

specifications for erection & commissioning of the plant related to

boilers, turbines, coal handling, ash handling, water system, HVAC and

firefighting system.

< Project planning & scheduling.

< Project execution - Erection of boilers, turbines, coal handling, ash

handling, water system, HVAC and firefighting system.

Nov -'2010 - till Feb - 2014 (3.5 years) with Dhariwal Infrastructure Ltd

(CESC Ltd, RP-SG group) as Assistant Manager (Mechanical engineering

division incharge) in Project Engineering and Management - Kolkata, India

Key Deliverables:

< 2 X 300 MW thermal power plant project engineering and management

(Mechanical engineering division incharge reporting to project head).

< Reviewing & engineering of drawings, layouts, finalisation of technical

specifications for erection & commissioning of the plant related to coal

handling, ash handling, water system, HVAC and firefighting system.

< Project planning & scheduling.

< Actively involved in commissioning of boilers, turbines, coal handling,

< In charge for techno-commercial evaluations including tendering &

ordering after finalisation of technical specifications of

equipment's/packages. Executed total order placement of USD 100 million.

< Preparation of railway engineering scale plan, L-section and GAD's and co-

ordinating with railways for all approvals regarding commissioning of

railway siding. In charge for railway siding from initial stage till

commissioning.

< Managing activities right from the conceptualisation stage to the

execution; involving finalization of technical bid specifications,

scheduling, progress monitoring, site management, manpower planning, cash

flow, project close out, invoicing & payments, project completion within

budget, contractual deliverables, etc.

< In charge for coal procurement through coal E-Auction and matching the

profitability with the cost of generation.

< In charge for budget preparation of the entire project of 2X300 MW (USD

500 million).

< 2 X 660 MW (supercritical units) - Preparation & finalisation of tender

specifications for BTG & its auxiliaries and BOP.

< 2 X 660 MW - Plant layout finalization.

< Associated with 1215 MW operations as Operation Shift In-Charge (Deputy

Manager-Operations). Adequate experience in handling of total plant black

outs; cold, warm & very hot start up of units and other critical

operational emergencies.

< Administering wide gamut of tasks involved in 1215 MW Greenfield Thermal

Power Project (one of the largest Aluminium Smelter Project in the world

with investments of more than USD 2.5 billion).

< Facilitating as in-charge for erection of 9 X 135 MW capacity pulverized

coal fired boiler and its auxiliaries entailing:

. Pressure part erection for 9 nos unit including lifting and

alignment of boiler drum, headers, panels, burners, total furnace,

etc. and visual inspection of welding and joint fit up, analysis of

radiography, stress relieving of welds and other quality related

aspects.

. Project planning & scheduling.

. Hydro test, acid cleaning, steam blowing, safety valve setting and

other commissioning and start up activities of boilers and its

auxiliaries of 9 nos unit.

. Detailed correspondence with IBR in obtaining all Indian boiler

regulation (IBR) certification.

. Commissioning of boiler & its auxiliaries (coal mills, draught

fans, PA & seal air fans, air pre-heater and ESP).

< Setting up of 5 flue can (275m) chimney and 4 flue can (275m) chimney for

nine units including:

. 275m concrete shell erection for two nos flue stack.

. 275m flue can erection within 25 days.

Notable Attainments

< Reduction of emission (SPM) levels from chimney to less than 50 mg/Nm3

from 500 mg/Nm3 (by implementation of ammonia dosing system).

< Reductions in DM water make up consumption from more than 15% to less

than 3% (Savings of USD 1, 60,000 / year).

< Recipient of "Star of the Business" award for rendering exemplary

performances across the tenure.

< Awarded two promotions in two consecutive years for excellent

performance.
