Operations/Plant Manager May 2008 to April 2014 Responsible for Kearney, NE and Springfield,
OH
Responsibilities include running the warehouse, International purchasing of Nitriding salt bath raw
material, from Europe, Brazil, and India, for distribution throughout North America which, includes
dealing with NAFTA documentation to our process licensees.
I lead a team in remodeling the salt bath heat treat line in Springfield to get the line ready for mass
production that was initially set-up for research and development. We kicked off production in May of
2009.I lead the way for transforming TS USA into a full production facility by setting up Quality
standards such as work instructions, PFMEAS, control plans, and flow charts. I had the responsibility to
get all safety, process, and Hazwoper/DOT training under control as well as maintaining an OSHA
compliant facility.
I lead a team in the building of a new Salt bath facility in Kearney NE. Responsibilities were to have the
building up and capable of running production by a deadline which was achieved. This included all
negotiations with the city of Kearney, contractors, and sub contractors. I set up the Quality Assurance
system and process flow systems. Lead the management team into TS16949
I was responsible to hire all personnel required to manage and run the facility and then the transfer of
production from Springfield OH to Kearney NE.
This new facility is currently producing at a 26% margin of profit. I derive most of my decision about
the future of the plant based on what I see in the P/L statement. By setting up the correct flow and
working with the customer I reduced labor from Springfield to the Kearney plant by 40%.
I lead a Joint Venture team in Mexico in remodeling their heat treat line. This was to help the production
for a more efficient process flow.

I am responsible for plant equipment utilization and efficiencies. I purchase all raw- materials for three

Reduced labor cost by $300,000 per year, using an outside (mentally impaired) service, Tac Ind.
I was responsible for controlling all cost and budgeting for the following year.

I reduced cost of $600,000 per year by eliminating wasted labor and requiring the labor to be more of a
benefit for the company.
I controlled orders for supplies, maintenance, and tooling. Set-up updated Preventative maintenance
program with the engineering department.

Process Engineer, 1994 - 1997
Assured the quality of the product running through our lines. Developed heat-treat
processes for Carburizing and Salt bath nitriding. I wrote control plans and failure
mode effect analysis (FMEA). Developed new customers working with sales and production. I
was responsible for training operators for the salt bath operations and
procedures. I also did metallurgical testing in our lab. I ran our Cyanide waste
treatment plant.
Supervisor, 1991 - 1994
I ran the salt bath nitriding department. I scheduled the workflow for 25 production associates and
furnace operators. I was responsible for training all floor labor, on facility procedures and
operations including safety policies. I was also a salt pot operator and a waste treatment operator and
would fill in when needed.
