DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF I2C BASED AUDIO CODEC MODULE OVER CUSTOM FPGA
PLATFORM
DESCRIPTION:
In a number of applications, introduction of speech models provides
improved performance. For example, in applications such as bandwidth
compression of speech, introduction of an appropriate speech model provides
increased intelligibility at low bit rates when compared to typical direct
coding of the waveform. Examples of systems based on an underlying speech
model include linear prediction vocoders. The inherent problem AMBE model
based speech coder is that do not provide high quality speech or robustness
to background noise without the addition of a prediction residual. This
prediction residual may be viewed as an error signal that corrects for
inaccuracies in the linear prediction model. To overcome this issue design
a VOCODER based on Inter Integrated circuit which make linear prediction on
audio signals that eliminate noises in given microphone input. Also I C
reduced the design complexity when compared to Advanced Multi Band
Excitation and it's implemented in altera quartus cyclone II.the advantages
of our project is design high throughput, area efficient multimedia
processor using FPGA and eliminate the background noise.
