Director of IT

Responsible for the direction and management of IT/computer operations for

Emergint's administrative information processing. Duties include rapid,

accurate and efficient processing of corporation's workload by use of a

computer-based system. Building systems capability which reflects the

highest state of technical sophistication consistent with the corporation's

needs and budget. Ensuring the security of company's database and

infrastructure. Recommend insights that contribute to overall company

strategic management. Assure that Emergint makes maximum use of the general

system by providing for the education and training of the principal users.

Consult with management to determine information requirements of management

and engineers, to determine boundaries and priorities of new projects, and

discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions. Perform duties of

consultant with respect to computer systems hardware to define equipment

needs, including telecommunications. Review project feasibility studies.

diagnose and solve computer equipment problems. Participate in technical

Was engaged in 4-month contract as MIS Manager through Robert Half

Technologies for a health care company in the Collier County (Collier

Health Systems, Inc.). Perform data network engineering, security

analysis, and implementation for communication back to central host site.

Install Cisco PIX firewalls, routers, and switches. Set up and troubleshoot

VPN for Client-to-LAN, as well as LAN-to-LAN connectivity. Manage a

Network Admin and Database Admin as direct reports. Environment is AIX,

Windows/2000, Citrix, Exchange, IIS and Cisco. Create and implement

technology policies and procedures. Negotiate contracts with vendors for

services and support.

Engaged in ad-hoc contract with Emergint, Inc., a health data solutions

company providing clinical data for research activities. Perform data

network engineering, security analysis, and implementation for

communication back to the Center of Disease Control. Install Cisco PIX

firewalls, routers, and switches. Set up and troubleshoot VPN for Client-to-

LAN, as well as LAN-to-LAN connectivity. Render support, design,

architecture, development, implementation, and maintenance for complete

infrastructure services. Implement a deep knowledge of Routing, VLANs, ATM,

Ethernet, Network Classes, Network Protocols, and Network Address

Translation.

Filled a short-term engagement with OptiComm Solutions Group, a data and

voice communications consulting company. Provided telecommunications

inventory and audit for 48 client sites in south Florida. Completed an in-

depth network analysis of existing frame relay network consisting of 1600

sites.

STONEHOUSE TECHNOLOGIES, INC. - Ft. Myers, FL

LEE COUNTY TELCOM SITE MANAGER, 4/2002 - 6/2003

Contracted by Lee County to carry out both management and consulting

responsibilities. Maintained responsibility for staff of seven responsible

for providing financial budget management, help desk services, and

technical support for the County's telecommunication voice services.

Administered telecom budget of $3.5 million. Developed strategic plan

encompassing ensuing three to five years. Participated in monthly meetings

with department heads on billing issues. Formulated and presented a

proposal to department heads of a five-digit dial plan for connectivity to

all County agents.
