EXPERIENCE:
Compusearch Software Systems, Sterling VA
Senior Software Engineer June 2009 to Present
Managed and led various teams ranging from 5-7 developers and testers using SCRUM Methodology; developed
PRISM, a web application system, which is primarily built on ASP .Net and Oracle. Collaborated with the product
owner to gather detailed business requirements and led the team to d esign and implement effective software
solutions. Worked on product customization for clients like HUD, DOL, EPA, NASA, NIH, DOE, DOD, USPS,
USAID etc. and provided quote for the level of effort required to finish the customization work.
Key Achievements:
PRISM Team Lead Role:
Closely worked with business analysts to understand and document business requirements in to
Agile/SCRUM stories.
Led the team during Agile/SCRUM sprint planning.
Used Object Oriented design patterns, for example Dependency Injections (Inversion of
Control), Template Method, Strategy, Factory, Singleton, Abstract Interface patterns etc. to
design the architecture.
Refactored source code using refactoring techniques to make components reusable with minimal
code changes.
Designed an N tier application using Model, View and Controller technique with user interface,
business services domain model and data service layers.
Led the team in technical design discussion with the architecture team.
Communicated software design to the architecture team using UML diagrams such as sequence
diagrams, class diagrams and use case diagrams.
Performed source code/peer reviews and security code review within the team.
Designed and enhanced custom server controls using Telerik UI ASP.Net Ajax Dev tools.
Followed 508 compliant standards during development phase and tested against the JAWS 508
compliance testing tool.
Closely worked with the testing and product owner team to deliver quality product.
Monitored defect logs using Footprints and assigned it to team members based on their
expertise.
PRISM Customizations:
Involved in design and development of EPA client cust omization while refreshing the older
PRISM functionalities.
Built Clause Editor Tool for DOD/DOE/USPS clients that uses FAR/DFAR clauses in their business
to manage the clause generation, maintaining and updating various versions.
Worked on various customization projects for HUD, NIH, USPS, UPS, NASA etc. based on the
requirements gathered from business owners.
Security Design Review Team Member:
As part of the security team; conducted security review discussions on stories.
Monitored security scans using IBM AppScan; analyzed and reviewed them to find out any
security vulnerabilities.
Involved in security design meetings for issues found during scans and recommended solutions
to mitigate those vulnerabilities with the current framework.
Implemented security fixes related to CSRF, XFS, and Session Identifier not Updated etc.
Clause Editor Windows Application Development:
Led the team in architecting, designing and implementing a windows application for managing,
generating FAR/DFAR clauses.
Dynamic html pages were generated using Regex by parsing the clause xml.
Prepared help documentation for the clause editor application.
SAML(Security Assertion Markup Language) Implementation:
Analyzed and developed a prototype for SAML using various protocols, configurations and
binding.
Demonstrated integration of PRISM with SAML used as web SSO.
Provided quotes for agencies implementing SAML within PRISM.
Training, Source Control and Build Master Role:
Trained new employees for technical architecture of the application.
Managed, administered source control for users using Tortoise SVN as source code repository.
