• Machine Technician (MT) - Operate machinery as general labor and gage parts as required.
• Senior Machine Technician (SMT) - Work in one department as CNC set up person. Train Mt on jobs and insure that
gauging and operation is running at OEE (Operating equipment effectiveness). Change large cutter heads, drills, taps, line
bores, groovers, reamers, ect, after tool life has expired, tool has broken or model changeover. Change part programs, run
machinery to ensure first part is to print release to MT to run. Troubleshoot all automated equipment and work with
Electricians, Millwrights, Machine repair and Pipefitters to assist in operation fixes and Troubleshooting/preventative
maintenance. Schematics, plc, and blueprint reading.
• Plant wide Senior Machine Technician (PSMT) - Same job duties as above but on a plant wide CNC set up. Covered other
SMT’s for vacations or help resolve problems that require special attention.
• Engineering Senior Machine Technician (ESMT) - Work with various engineers on new department set up. New equipment
set up. New product launch. Liaison between skilled trades, engineering and safety. Machinery run offs.
