WORK EXPERIENCE

Banquet Manager

Truffles Catering - April 2014 to May 2014

Oversaw all events taking place within the Belvedere. Prepared the server and houseman schedules, as well as

preparing shift duties for scheduled employees. Ordered and kept inventory of alcohol and linen needed for all

events. Ensured proper setup and cleanup protocols were being followed for all events. Performed interviews

and hired servers/housemen. Became proficient in the cater-ease software, and utilized it to print Banquet

Event Orders and double check certain details that needed to be communicated to various staff members.

Prepared BEO packets for all members of the office to read over and ascertain/solidify certain event details

during weekly BEO meetings.

Corporate Trainer

The Cheesecake Factory - Baltimore, MD - March 2011 to April 2014

Acted as a greeter and also "filled" the restaurant using a rotation system/catering to guests with special needs

and requests. Assisted in mapping out multiple large parties simultaneously throughout the restaurant, letting

managers/expediters know when large parties were planned and seated.

Server: Maintained 4-7 table sections. In following the mission statement, I fulfilled my part in "Creating an

environment where absolute guest satisfaction is the highest priority".

Corporate Lead Trainer (Classroom Facilitator): During the two-week training process for server development

at The Cheesecake Factory, I was in charge of teaching the classroom (week one of two). The class lasted

five hours every day for five days (Monday-Friday). During this class, I delivered details about the extensive

menu and recited/practiced the expectations and responsibilities of being a server (face of the restaurant) at a

large corporation that is continually growing. I also wrote and coordinated training schedules for their second

week of training to ensure they were training with "Designated Trainers" on the floor. I held the responsibility

of updating training binders and keeping all the servers on the same page with their expectations and roles.

Opening Manager

Glyndon Grill - Glyndon, MD - October 2013 to December 2013

Assisted in opening this restaurant. I played more of a behind the scenes role, putting everything in place.

I wrote the server/host manuals and setting up their designated stations in the restaurant, assigned spaces

for necessary elements of serving/hosting and labeled accordingly to ensure easily maintained systems. I

also helped in the finishing details of construction---putting tables together, painting doors/table bases, etc.

I oversaw the opening days and events prior to the grand opening. This job experience was beneficial to

complete my understanding of restaurant operations and everything that may entail.

Barista

Starbucks - Scranton, PA - February 2008 to June 2011

Cashier

Nikolas' Café - April 2005 to August 2009

Took "to-go" orders by phone and ran the register.

Server: Maintained all the tables in the small café with all of the steps of service necessary for a pleasurable

dining experience. During school vacation times, I would pick up any available shifts.

Assistant Manager

MB and Company - York, PA - August 2008 to April 2009

Assisted in this restaurant's opening by marketing and helping with construction. I assisted the manager and

events planner by coordinating dining times and accommodations. I learned the processes for taking inventory

and ordering. I wrote server schedules, maintained, and set expectations and responsibilities. I left this job due

to furthering my education, which required me to move out of the area.

Annie Bailey's Irish Pub - September 2007 to July 2008

Maintained six table sections. Certified by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board. I maintained cocktail tables

during happy hours and business peak hours. During buy out events on the second floor bar, I assisted the
