March 2012 - Present Master Scheduler/Core Room Manager - Responsible for
planning, purchasing and scheduling foundry operations and machining.
Duties include reviewing MRP system to efficiently schedule molding
machine, core room, and finishing room which increased through put over
20%. Responsible for purchasing gate valve components from Intercompany
vendors as well as execute deliveries to Intercompany customers which led
to a 5% reduction in shipping cost. Responsible for inventory control
including balancing system backflushes and making inventory adjustments
leading to an increase in inventory accuracy.
September 2011 - March 2012 Product Line Supervisor/Department Planner -
Responsible for planning, purchasing and supervising over RSGV area with
duties that include planning all operations for valve assembly and powder
coat operation, purchasing components for area lines, scheduling machining
operations with firm due dates, and maintaining all assigned paperwork and
safety functions.
Tyco Fire Products August 1994 - May 2011
Anniston Alabama
2006- 2011 Distribution Center Manager - Managed all warehouse operations
for local distribution center. Responsible for staff of 12 or more people
which includes all human resources functions, safety training, Kronus time
clock management and all distribution related training. Maintained and
balanced $200K/month budget and less than 1% shipping error factor.
Responsible for $6.8/mil inventory with less than .15% inventory variance
through daily cycle counts. Managed and maintained hardware/software
system with JD Edwards, DSI, UPS and FEDEX operating systems and was on SAP
implementation team last 6 months. Monitored all purchasing of shipping
and receiving supplies including office supplies and all warehouse
packaging. Effectively scheduled FTL, LTL, and small parcel shipments
managing a HUB and SPOKE warehouse system also including International
shipments for inbound and outbound freight. Responsible for all inventory
adjustments including product variations to meet customer demand.
2003 - 2006 Material Planner/Purchaser - Scheduled all departments of
foundry and manufacturing including shell core room, finishing room, two
Disamatic lines, Hunter molding line, paint, assembly, injection molding,
and machining center. Responsible for purchasing of material components
such as hardware, paint, raw materials, packaging materials and system
supplies.
1995 - 2003 Manufacturing Supervisor - Managed three shift operations with
up to 3 supervisors and 120 employees. Implemented, scheduled and managed
eight injection molding centers as well as one compression molding center
using EPDM and NBR rubber compounds. This includes working with all lab
equipment, DESMA and REP machine parameters, and quality control.
Scheduled and managed all paint and assembly operations as well as Kaufman
machining center. Also responsible for initial safety training and
training on all machining centers.
1994 - 1995 Quality Control - Implemented first final inspection program
for a new product line consisting of grooved iron fittings and couplings
made of 654512 ductile iron. Also worked in quality lab to test ductile
iron, raw materials, and green sand for a three work center operation.
