I will be receiving my Associate of Applied Science degree in Medical Laboratory Technology in June
from Southeast Community College and am interested in using my education and clinical experience for
the Medical Laboratory Technician position currently posted on your site.
Prior to beginning classes at Southeast Community College I was employed as a Verizon customer service
representative which gave me knowledge and expertise in dealing with a wide variety of cultural and
social situations. I was given, and excelled at the goals expected of me. During my classes at SCC I was
employed as a Biomedical Technologist at Biotest Plasma Center. This job gave me great experience in
dealing with, and the importance of, standard operating procedures. On top of this direct experience I
have clinical experience through the Medical Laboratory Technology program in a wide variety of
hospitals, reference laboratories, and pediatric laboratories. I have extensive clinical experience in
hematology, clinical chemistry, clinical microbiology, urinalysis, and phlebotomy. The hands-on
experience has been invaluable and I would be excited for the opportunity to use my skills at your
hospital.
I would appreciate the opportunity to further discuss my credentials and can be contacted at
402-***-****. Thank you for considering my application.
Sincerely,
Nicholas Christensen
