Job Description: Follow current and forecasted production plans, delegate production tasks by daily priority, verify work in progress and finished product for mistakes or problems and assign rework as necessary, train coworkers on proper use of machinery and safety to prevent accidents and produce quality product, clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations, provide assistance or direction to coworkers in the coil winding and assembly departments, understand work orders and assembly drawings and act as a resource to winders and assemblers in need of training and any questions needing to be answered, organize work to meet production demand looking out at least three days while determining overtime requirements.

Other accomplishments while employed at MTE: Created quality in process checklists to improve quality standards and reduce downtime, created training manual and processes to improve standard quality, implemented standard work procedures on the shop floor, implemented a 5S system and continually set the pace for all other areas to strive to be, I was involved in numerous Kaizen events to better move product and simplify the production process, I continually worked to improve communication between all areas of the manufacturing process from planning and purchasing, engineering and prototyping, to quality assurance and shipping and receiving.

I was involved with the company safety committee to continuously improve work safety and reduce injury related downtime, I coordinated two shifts when necessary to meet production demands, I traveled internationally to test and approve a quarter million dollar foil winding machine. I created time studies to help set a standard for scheduling to better plan work orders. I also spent the better part of two years working with our engineers and mechanical drafters to improve the accuracy and ease of manufacturability of our winding and assembly blueprints. I also helped to introduce one piece flow on the shop floor to increase speed of manufacturing finished goods to a third of the time previously taken.
