and Help Desk. Tasked with developing change control process.

2006 – 2013

LEXISNEXIS, RISK SOLUTIONS (FORMERLY CHOICEPOINT), Alpharetta, GA

Leading global provider of content-enabled workflow solutions designed specifically for professionals in legal, risk

Manage datacenter technology operation and infrastructure for mission critical business systems. Direct 200+ t eam

members encompassing Database Services, Network Services, Platform Services, Computer Operations Center

(COC), Technical Support, Help Desk and Facilities supporting three data centers with $25M operating budget and

$19M in expenses. Communicate extensively with customers, business unit leader s, and technology colleagues.

Recruited by Choicepoint as Senior Director of Unix Systems and rapidly promoted to AVP Database Services,

Senior Director of Data Center Operations, and finally VP of Infrastructure Operations.

Built shared services model establishing change management, SLA management, and alerting.

Consolidated purchasing and contracts to improve pricing and reduce support costs.

Saved more than $8M by reducing overall support costs and transitioning to “replace from inventory” model while

reducing total outage time.

Led architecture transition post acquisition – High Performance Computing Cluster (HPCC) requiring division

reorganization into functional team while supporting legacy products. Consolidated 50K sq. ft. of data center

down to 10K sq. ft. and expanded back additional 10K sq. ft.

Transitioned to commodity, high performance servers and rebuilt Ethernet network within data center to core -

edge cell isolating storage network traffic. Moved servers to Linux to provide consistency and established server

pools in inventory to consolidate purchases and reduce costs.

Insourced mainframe support from IBM Global Services to Reed Elsevier Technology Services (RETS) saving

millions of dollars in support costs. Then replaced with open source systems.

Consolidated 28 SAN islands in 1 SAN and added 2 petabytes of storage.

Relocated Disaster Recovery (DR) from SunGard to private company data centers reducing RTO from 26 hours

to 3 hours.
