A leading chemical manufacturing in the dispersion and additives business, Flow Polymers has two locations in the Cleveland area. One location is in Collinwood; the other in East Cleveland. Total number of full-time employees is around 85 employees with a large temporary work force. One facility runs 24/7, the other facility is a 5 to 6 days a week, 3 shift operation.
Human Resources Manager
• Created a Human Resources department from the ground up. Created procedures, organized personnel documents, and developed operating standards for the department.
• Handled all employee relations issues, workers compensation claims, and negotiations of benefits and administration of 401k. Significantly reduced unemployment cost by fighting claims and responding to potential claims in a timely manner.
• Redesigned a performance appraisal process to match company objectives of ACES-QC
• Responsible for entire recruitment process of exempt and non-exempt employees for two locations.
