trade associations, and external consultants and then implemented these strategies for Westfield

Group, which is partially comprised of a $1.7 billion property casualty insurance company and bank

with $1 billion in assets.

advancing efforts favorable to Westfield Group, affiliated companies, agents and policyholders.

• Responsible for compliance with state and federal laws and regulations dealing with corporate

Ohio Treasurer of State Cleveland and Columbus, OH

Economic Development Officer & Treasury Administration January 2011 - June 2013

Administration appointee that assisted in the operations of the Ohio Treasurer of State office including

financial reporting and managing economic development programs.

Directed the development, testing and implementation of a series of process improvements that that

resulted in a 35% savings after one year in the Economic Development department.

• Implemented a state and federal government relations strategy with COSE leadership, association

members and external lobbyists and later implementing these strategies as part of a government

relations team for the 16,000 member small business association.

Vice President – Operations and Sales January 1997 - February 2009

Senior operations and sales executive responsible for a $9 million budget, including managing 6 direct

Analyzed, projected, and contracted with suppliers for commodities in 8 product categories made up

of more than 700 items that accounted for more than 70% of total sales. This included supplies

sourced from the US, Canada, Mexico and China.

Developed and executed an ERP technology that lead to a 65% cost reduction per transaction and

other efficiencies that decreased other payroll costs with a payback of less than 2 years. It also

defined both fixed and variable costs in order to better project future needs.

Designed and implemented an action plan to align market opportunities with the organization’s

assets and abilities. This included a review of current operation, a reduction in select inventory lines

by more than 40%, and margin increase of 7.5-8% through better inventory projection and supplier

management.

Implemented a communications program that resulted in a product and business information sharing

system that included continuous product knowledge updates and new sources of external information
