FACILITIES & CONSTRUCTION MANAGER AND MANUFACTURING ENGINEER GENERAL ELECTRIC, TRANSPORTATION, GROVE CITY,

PA 2012-2014

Led building capital improvements to production start-up in 11 months. Transformed warehouse structure

into a heavy manufacturing site to re-manufacture train, marine and stationary diesel engines.

Directed skilled trades’ resources, diverse contractors and township affiliates. Mitigate constant EHS,

weather and permitting roadblocks to stay on course with defined project goals. Held accountability to

contractors for delivering specifications. Plant Site security leader.

Project upgraded facility with utility plant feeds and internal loops, built or replaced: concrete floor,

lighting, compressor room, offices, locker rooms, cafeteria, electrical transformers, switchgear and bus

distribution, brick and mortar expansion. Included external facility grounds, highway inlets, delivery

ingress/egress, creation of parking lots and water shed. Managed soils testing and disposal.

Facilitated installation of over 220 pieces of new and transferred equipment onto the shop floor plan with

integration into the plant utility infrastructure. 97% met install against plan.

Key team member to drive implementation of 290 external vendor part numbers into plant with

engineering documentation, testing, benchmark of processes with standard work time studies and drove

line throughput with tooling and fixturing to meet quality and time on product.

Drove safe work culture by support of ergonomics with unique engineering solutions and led fixturing and

dunnage safety team. Managed 100% of safety finding audit closure.

MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING MANAGER GENERAL ELECTRIC, APPLIANCES & LIGHTING, RAVENNA, OH 2008-2012

Led technical salary engineers for process support and capital improvement projects and hourly maintenance shop

staff. Responsible for maintenance & supplies budget and activity and lean activities. Served as site security leader.

Interim EHS manager, 2010-2011. Drove reduction of OSHA recordables (up to 46%) and lost time rate (up to 63%).

schedule. Led all aspects of the move, including cost to business justification, creating specifications, vendor selection,

asset appraisal, receiving site readiness, move schedule, EHS clearance, and transportation plus install start up and

debug. Delivered operating equipment on time and on budget with minimal start up issues.

Monterrey Lamp Plant, Mexico. Onsite support of equipment to drive downtime & yields of St. Louis transfer of work.

Logan, OH Glass Plant. Eliminated quality charge back from assembly plant through equipment redesigns.

Charleston, TN Distribution Center build. Project manager for install of $102K of new equipment & transferred assets.

Winchester, VA Lamp Plant. Debug of Thiele high speed automated pack line.

Ravenna Lamp Plant. Led design and build for three robotic cells, and for high speed finishing Thiele automated

packaging cells. Drove lean action work outs to reduce change over time by 400%.

Facilitated transfer of equipment from Euclid, OH, Willoughby, OH, & Warren, OH Plant to multiple Lamp Plants in

Hungary. Managed all commercial documentation and asset transfer of equipment overseas.

SENIOR PROCESS/PROJECT ENGINEER GENERAL ELECTRIC, LIGHTING & APPLIANCES, RAVENNA, OH 2002-2006

Ravenna Lamp Plant leadership team member which contributed to 6.5% variable cost productivity savings and

Lead team member of invention, design & build of flame spray process which delivered annual savings of $482K.
