cancer Activity
• Prepared methanolic extracts from six different parts of the three
I ndian medicinal plants
• Tested for their cytotoxic ability using i n vitro cell based assays
against human cancer cell lines
• The extract with lowest IC 50 value was further fractionated.
• Lead compounds were isolated and tested for i ts effect on cancer cell
l ines
• The mechanism of action of the active molecule was determined
using different I n vitro assays like Annexin V assay and RT-PCR
and gel electrophoresis.
