660 bed Health System with two (2) emergency rooms, cancer center and eleven (11) free
standing clinics, with area of responsibilities that included managing over 80 employees, patient
access, pre-registration, business office, patient financial services, third party eligibility
companies and third party collection agencies.

and Attorneys.

Comp., and third parity liabilities.

4) Direct Financial Counselors, cash posting, refunds, and self-pay balance payment
plans.
5) Insure that both Hospitals adhere to the same policies, procedures
6) Handle patient complaints, and questions as they may occur in a timely manner
7) Work with patient access manager to insure patient satisfaction and correct
information is obtained at time of admission
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
1) Increased POS (point of service) collections from less than eight hundred thousand
(800,000) per year to over five point six million (5.6 million)
2) Established new outside finance program which increased cash flow and significantly
reduced bad debt.

assistance received it and those that could pay were afforded a method to do so
