OBJECTIVES
My goal is to be given the opportunity to work in multiple capacities in a therapeutic environment to

well as individually. I have worked full time in paid positions with children and believe that they are

Provided nursing care for two elderly adults in their home from 8-01-2004 until 3-16-2014. This
position also required maintaining positive interaction with the family on a daily basis.

Duties included providing personal care with activities of daily living, monitoring health, medication, and
treatment needs. Supervised the additional 8-10 home staff, organized activities to promote social,
emotional, mental stimulation. Provided music and movement therapy as well as memory stimulation with

when they were needed. Assisted the physical therapist 3-4 times a week and continued implementation
of therapy programs. Documented daily and maintained necessary information and reported all

Activities Assistant 1986 – To 2004
Worked with and provided services to Veterans in Domiciliary, Personal Care, and Nursing Care Units.
Off ground Activities included, field trips, fishing trips, museum trips, shopping trips, and trips to other
special events. On ground activities included movies, library services, Bingo games, Art programs,
Ceramic programs and Special Events.
Developed and was responsible for implementing the Art program, Ceramic program, Coffee talk
program, Puppet program, Movie program, Mystery Trip program, and assisted with developing and
providing Library Services offered at the center. I coordinated and directed two annual Variety Shows
that included Veterans as well as staff participation.
Assisted the Activity Director with spearheading our Volunteer Resources services for several months,
which included contacting and interacting with Volunteers and Volunteer Organizations, accepting
donations, distribution of donations, recording and maintaining volunteer hours, as well as writing thank
you letters as needed until a Volunteer Coordinator was hired in a full time position.
Other duties included ordering supplies and maintaining inventories for the Art and Ceramic Programs as
well as other programs. Operating and maintaining kilns and assuring work areas were safe. Motivating
and assisting veterans to participate in available activities. Documenting daily and recording statistics as
required. Recognizing and reporting unusual behaviors or events to the appropriate personal. This job
frequently involved dealing with mental health and behavioral issues. I was also required to have a CDL
driving license that I continue to maintain.

Advisory Board Member for Pottstown Dance Repertory Ensemble
Studied at Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet, Attended Seminars on The Vaganova Syllabus of Russian
Classical Ballet and developed and implemented lesson plans for dance classes.
As a Dance Teacher I am currently teaching various classes for students age 3 through teen and adults. I
work in a paid position 4 days a week in the evenings with children as well as on week-ends for
rehearsals and I provide private lessons to students as needed.
Additional duties, responsibilities, and experiences include:
Coordinating and teaching various Dance workshops.
Chaperoned Pottstown Dance Theatre students performing in London, England during the 2012
Olympics.
Assisted with rehearsing students as well as performing with them at the Lincoln Center in New York,
March of 2014.

included:
The Nutcracker, La Fille Mal Garde, Coppelia, Les Sylphides, Alice and Wonderland, Jazzerella, Flow

Beauty and Swan Lake.

Working in these paid full-time positions afforded me the opportunity to gain not only work experiences
but many life experiences as well and directed my choices to continue in the field of human services
working with both young and older populations. My work included staff management and development,
as well as direct care of clients. I was chosen as a Stress Management Trainer and presented employee
workshops in Spring City, PA, Philadelphia, PA, and Baltimore, Maryland at State and National
Conventions. Additional work experience included 1:1 programming as well as small and large group
programming and services. I also worked with the OT and PT, Psychology and Social Service
Departments developing and implementing programs for a population of under 21 years of age, as well
as providing other necessary services. I have worked with a wide variety of age groups that spanned
toddlers to geriatrics with multiple mental and physical disabilities. I have had experience working with
persons with a variety of disabilities which included, blind, visually impaired, hearing impaired, down
syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, ambulatory, non-ambulatory, limited ambulation, as well as behavioral
and mental health difficulties. My experience includes working with adaptive equipment and teaching with
technology.
(I worked full time in a paid position for over 10 years serving children with special needs ages
2yrs -21yrs).
