PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

January 2014 – May 2014 Part time Recruiting Specialist at Techead,

Richmond, VA

Expedite jobs and contractors/candidates into BullHorn software from VMS and administrate on-

boarding materials to contractors as required by Federal, State, Techead and Client processes.

Calculate necessary pay rates and bill rates for assignments. Arrange and coordinate training

materials for on-site classes. Work independently and collaboratively with Back Office team to

ensure that all on-boarding processes are generated quickly and with the highest level of

integrity. Source and search for contractors/candidates as assigned through BullHorn,

CareerBuilder, LinkedIn, Dice and other social media to screen resumes to present the best

candidate to the client.

July 2012 – Present Part time Custom Framer at Michael’s Stores, Glen Allen, VA

Analyze and clarify customer’s framing needs to formulate options for the customer. This

includes: creating and designing custom framing by introducing mat and frame selections for

the customer’s art; calculating measurements and customer information into framing software;

Screened/sourced in Taleo application tracking software over 6,000 applications for trade

positions including: Deck Electricians; Deck Electricians/Welders; Painters; Material Support;

and Sheet Fitters. Interviewed, hired, and followed up on pre-employment issues with selected

candidates. In addition attended two carrier fairs and prepared a list of trade schools in Virginia

for future recruiting efforts.

August 2010 – June 2011 Part time Customer Service/Cashier Staples, Richmond, VA

Operate point of sale register for cash, debit, credit, check, gift card and return transactions.

Answer phone calls and aid customers directly or refer them to associates with the more

appropriate skill sets. Assist customers to find solutions for their office supply needs. This

includes recommending alternative selections and offering protection plans for all electronic

devices. While only working on an average of 25 hours a week, during my first month sold more

protection plans in dollar amount than any other cashier.

jewelry art pieces for website and show entry documents. Assist in set up and break down of

Developed processes, trained, implemented and administered the new Business Continuity

management software toolkit. This included compiling and writing a business case to purchase

the software; effectively collaborated with peers, internal IT departments, steering committee

and vendor to meet deadlines and budget demands. In addition analyzed over 40 existing

Business Continuity Plans and catalogued over 2800 process metrics.

2002-2007 Recruiting Specialist for Global Information Services (GIS) ConocoPhillips,

Bartlesville, OK

A full life cycle recruiting position that included the following responsibilities:

Managed recruiting teams of 60+ individuals to aid as needed in the

recruiting cycle for hiring entry level and experience level candidates for

Global Information Services.

Collaborated with Corporate Human Resources to maintain corporate hiring

policies.

Conducted additional interviews that fell outside the normal recruiting

season.

Developed, built and maintained business relationships with College and

University leaders, Inroads representatives, Professional Staffing

organizations and internal business leaders.

Supervised all on-site interviews of final candidates along with mediated

Consulted with business units outside of Global Information Services on

unique requests to screen, interview and fulfill hiring needs including:

Craftsmen (HVAC, and Electricians); Industrial Engineers, Real Estate Lawyers,

and Procurement Professionals.

Tracked candidates using Taleo Applicant Tracking Software and was on

development team to introduce this software as the corporate application

tracking process.

Guided and trained interviewing techniques and policies to managers as

requested becoming a "go-to" person within the company.

Generated a robust college recruiting and intern program that retained 91%

of interns to full time employee positions.

Supervised GIS interns and facilitated all Bartlesville intern activities.

(Between 60 and 80 total interns from various disciplines).

• Instituted and supervised a 3-day GIS Student Leadership forum that enabled recruiting

teams to view highly recommended students in controlled environments before the

college career fairs. This forum marketed ConocoPhillips as a leader in corporate

computer technology and offered an advantage system to see and offer students job

opportunities before competitors.
