transport aircraft
Industry: Aeronautics(R&D)
Scope: National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL), a constituent of the
Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), India, established
in the year 1959 is the only government aerospace R&D laboratory in the
country's civilian sector. CSIR-NAL is a high-technology oriented
institution focusing on advanced disciplines in aerospace. CSIR-NAL has
several advanced test facilities, and many of them are recognized as
National Facilities. These are not only the best in the country, but are
also comparable to other similar facilities in the world. CSIR-NAL's
mandate is to develop aerospace technologies with strong science content,
design and build small, medium sized civil aircraft, and support all
national aerospace programmes.
Responsibilities:
V Get knowledge about existing Nacelle structures.
V Power plant systems Installation for SARAS Multirole Aircraft.
V Aircraft design practice using CATIA V5 and AutoCAD.
V Interact with other group leaders and Junior Engineers(Power plant and
ECS and Flight Testing Instruments ) for doing their system
installation on nacelle structures.
V Preparing material schedule and drawing change notice for higher issue
drawings.
V Doing drawings and models of Nacelle Engine design for SARAS Multirole
Aircraft.
V Collect various Aircraft standard parts and read that drawing to meet
requirements.
V Suggest design dispositions based on installation of Nacelle on
Aircraft.
V Trained juniors about Aircraft design practice and taught software
skills.
Work done:
Project#1: Nacelle Structures:-
V Prepared design dispositions of shop queries, production queries etc.
V Involved in the documentation of nacelle drawings.
V Preparing higher issue of 2-D drawings to rectify errors and snags on
those particular assemblies.
V Preparing reference document for various prototype Nacelles.
V Cancellations of old design engine mount assembly drawings.
V Involved in the documentation of various prototypes nacelle drawings.
V Preparing Repair Project slips and drawings for integration snags.
Project#2: Power Plant Systems:-
V Worked in designing the engine oil cooler hose installation to rectify
the old design problem make two metal parts on engine side and oil
cooler side on LH.
V RH side make separate routing for clearance of oil cooler hose.
V Designed brackets for clamping the oil cooler hose in both LH and RH
engine.
V Vibration data analysis for the PT6A-67A engine.
V Doing SSR data analysis for every engine ground data.
V For further new design study the major power plant systems.
Project#3: Preparing Reports, General Works and New Concept Design:-
V Preparing sketches and calculations for FAR25.1195 and FAR23.1195
reports.
V For FAR 25 Fire Extinguishing system report find out the volume of
Nacelle, Air duct, Engine Accessories zone and Hot Zone. Find out the
annulus area to calculate residence time.
V Preparing sketches for Ground Vibration reports.
V Made the model of Combustion Chamber drain outlet pipe 1:1 in
Thermacol to check the clearance of yoke.
V Edit the SARAS PT1N Three view as Dornier228 and find out propeller
tip to ground clearance
V Design combined brackets for oil cooler hose and ECS system on nacelle
structure for next prototype.
Academic Project Engineering
Major Projects
< CFM56-7B Engine, AIR-INDIA, MUMBAI Duration: Dec'10 to Jan'11
Industry: Aeronautics Team Size: 3
Technical Environment: CATIA,ANSYS tools
Scope: In this project, we gained complete knowledge about the CFM 56-7B
engine and implemented the flow Analysis of OPEN ROTOR concept in the fan
of CFM 56-7B engine .In the Open Rotor there is no cowl in the rotor.
This concept is used to reduce the engine weight, increase overall
performance and also to reduce the environment pollution. Inlet and
outlet pressure can be found out using this flow analysis. Compare to
other engines open rotor bye pass ratio is high.
Responsibilities:
V Flow Analysis of the fan in CFM56-7B Engine.
Academic Project Diploma
Major Projects
< CAR MODEL ROBOT Duration: Dec'08 to Feb'08
Industry: Automobile Team Size: 4
Scope: Car Model Robot can be used to carry heavy weighed materials from
one place to another without using man power. Two sensors which is placed
in the vehicle senses the black strip pasted in the floor. Once it senses
the black strip, it sends signal to the micro controller to operate the
motors to move from one place to another place.
Responsibilities:
V Design and develop the CAR MODEL ROBOT application
Education
< B.E. in Aeronautical Engineering from Anna University 2011 Guindy, India,
with 67%.
< DIPLOMA in Electronics (Robotics) from D.O.T.E 2008 Chennai .India. with
81%.
Co-Curricular Activities
< CATIAV5R20 Training Undergone by Dassault System @ NAL.
< Industrial visit at TAAL, Hosur, from 6th Nov 2006 to 10th Nov 2006.
< Industrial visit at Ashok Leyland, Hosur, from 12th Aug 2007 to 14th Aug
2007.
< Industrial visit at Exide Battery, Hosur, from 8th Nov 2007 to 10th Nov
2007.
