Sole Proprietor
I have produced a program called "Phonics and Reading with McGuffey" which
is software for teaching older students how to read with traditional
phonics methods. The software runs on PC, Android, and iOS devices. I used
Adobe AIR to develop the software.
Phonics and Reading with McGuffey offers several innovative techniques for
allowing students to learn at their own pace. The core of the program is a
teaching method that has worked during a period in American history that
spanned over a century. The McGuffey's readers in the 19th century was the
second most popular text besides the Bible in total number of books
printed. I also developed a sequel program based on McGuffey's first
reader. I've received more than a hundred very positive reviews of my work
and I hold a 4 star rating or better on most of my apps. Many have said
their children used my program to learn to read when so many other programs
failed. I may not have attained commercial success with my product but I've
helped hundreds of people learn to read in a way far easier and cheaper to
do than with other methods.
Here is a short run down of what was required to make this project: Working
with freelancers. Working with the public to see what works, what is
beneficial and what isn't. Object oriented programming using Actionscript 3
Understanding of code signing certificates and provisioning profiles. I had
to know how to optimize sophisticated content for iOS (iPad first
generation). Understanding of the WordPress content management system in
depth understanding of Flash Professional, Flash Builder for Flash
Professional projects, Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop, InkScape, Audacity,
Adobe Audition, Sony Vegas, Lightwave 3D and several other software
packages (which I own). I used TestFlight to help distribute beta
applications and get feed back.
With my brother Mark Yannitell, I also developed an advanced 3D game called
Omega Rockets Tournament using Unity3D pro (available on iTunes). I own my
own software tools and a diverse set of testing devices.

Shader
As a shader I take a solid or metallic color and make a paint formula that
approximates it as best as possible. This can involve many trials which I
repeat this process until the required result is achieved:
Generate formula
mix formula
spray formula
evaluate formula
if the spray out does not look close enough to the standard the process is
repeated until it does.
The initial formula can be generated in a variety of ways. Use of a
spectrophotometer for color predictions is the preferred method when ever
possible. Magentas, maroon colors, and dark browns do not get predicted
well so we do a library match using a different spectrophotometer.
We have to match many different kinds of samples. Sometimes we get to match
simple panels.. other times we have to match very thin raised lettering on
signs which cannot be read on computers. There is no color I cannot match,
if it is allowed within the paint color gamut. Many Pantone colors cannot
be matched well in paint because they have high chroma (saturation) and
high value (lightness). But we've developed a top coat over white process
that can get many more Pantones that would otherwise be impossible to get a
close match.
I have won a PPG Bucket Award for a time saving procedure I developed. Our
team also won the "Winning With Teamwork, MPC 2011 Record Year".
Matching color is as much art as it is science. The only way to learn it is
to do it.

Lab Tech for PPG
As a lab temp for PPG I was responsible for mixing and spraying paint
formulas. Other duties included housekeeping, instrument cleaning, 5S,
cleaning and dressing the spray booths, paint waste removal.

As a clerk I was a cashier and sales representative. I would look up parts
for small engines, stock shelves, sweep the floors, and other duties
required.
Freelance

Freelancer
I made 360 degree panoramic pictures for Realtors and real estate agents. I
wrote multimedia software using Macromedia (now Adobe) Director. Worked on
HTML/CSS using Dreamweaver and it's simple template engine.

Distance Learning Lab Tech
I monitored distance learning classrooms for connectivity issues and audio
visual problems and fix when required. I occasionally produced interactive
multimedia presentations and programs for the various schools at Hocking
College. I did some video editing work and video taped functions and
interviews.
