Work History
Kurt Crume Construction
For two years I built decks and gazebos then began speculative
homes. After about twelve homes I started getting request to build
and design custom homes. I built approximately one hundred
homes priced from 90,000 to 325,000 dollars.
Kurt’s Auto Parts Inc.
I started this business from scratch, opening in a 20 x 60 store front
and taking my lunch with me. I made sales calls each morning
before opening at seven and delivered those orders after closing at
five in the evening. After a year I hired my first counterman and
eventually had six employees, after four more years we tripled the
size of the store.
Arkla Air Conditioning
I began as a Heating and Air Conditioning Sales Engineer and was
promoted to Regional Sales Manager after two years, reporting to
the Vice President of Marketing. I wrote a 3.5 million dollar budget,
implemented incentive programs, conducted various public
relations functions and covered a seven state area. I increased
overall sales in the Central Region eleven percent and signed a
contract to supply Sears gas grills for their catalog nationwide.

Summary
After losing my wife in 2008 I retired, but have found that retirement is
very unfulfilling and I want to go back to work.
I have always been a very competitive person and with my years in
sales management and experience as a business owner I feel I
could make a worthwhile contribution in the workforce today.
