I am looking for employment in the Des Moines, IA area in the field of
Supply Chain.
Experience I can offer encompasses many areas of Supply Chain such as
contract negotiation, supplier consolidation, tracking materials &
expediting purchase orders, and documentation. My background is strong in
Procurement of Direct and Indirect products/services, working in a
supportive role, inventory management, supplier relationship management,
cost savings, invoice resolution and RFQs.
During the past year, I worked as a contracted Engineer Buyer working
closely on procuring components and samples for Prototypes and Pilot
Builds. This involved protecting proprietary data, expediting POs, getting
quotes, documentation, reporting, working with a variety of internal and
external personnel.
Previous employment was as a Purchasing Analysis for Eurofins Scientific, a
global company providing analytical services in areas of food, feed,
forensics, animal testing and manufacturing of DNA and Genome strains.
Duties involved price negotiations, creating supplier agreements, supplier
consolidation, purchasing capex equipment, products and services,
maintaining an invoice database along with a contract database within
SharePoint and helping out wherever there was a need.
Before Eurofins Scientific, I worked at Sauer-Danfoss for over 10 years
before being laid off in early 2009. Sauer-Danfoss, Inc. is a global
leader in the design, manufacture, and sale of engineered hydraulic and
electronic systems and components for use primarily in applications of
mobile equipment.
A snap shot of responsibilities I had at Sauer-Danfoss involved product
forecasting, receiving and tracking product usage of high-speed tooling,
and inventory management. I worked with 12 process engineers, utilized CADD
drawings and worked on various product teams. Additionally I purchased
Indirect services for five U.S. facilities, created and managed a contract
database, consolidated suppliers, and documented cost savings. The final
year was spent managing the global customer database in the Marketing
Department where I interacted daily with personnel from 14 different
countries until that position was eliminated in 2009 and I was laid off.
I am a highly energized individual with a Bachelor's degree from Simpson
College, who is great at multi-tasking, working in a culture that values
team work and enjoys a fast paced environment. Verbal and written skill
sets are strong as are my organizational skills and ability to meet
expectations.
