Title: Quality Control/Assurance Professional

Summary: I am a dedicated QC/QA professional presenting a portfolio

of detailed lead inspector and management qualifications

earned through intense training and hands on experience.

Particular areas of QA expertise include Quality Management

Systems audits, reviews and improvements, scheduling and

implementing internal and external audits, training

in-house auditors and achieving all ISO/API annual audit

standards to maintain certifications. As a QC

professional, I have successfully demonstrated my ability

to multi-task, organize, define, document, implement, and

follow up on non-conformities to include delegating

priorities in the QC operation with manufacturing and

support departments. I consider one of my stronger skills

as having a healthy working relationship with multiple

Umbilical QC Lead Supervisor

My responsibility was to ensure a Quality product and manage quality issues

throughout the process of umbilical's. I led the umbilical inspection team

and coordinated all activities with other elements of manufacturing such

as; the applications department, welders, outside x-ray technicians and

project engineering. To meet this obligation it was necessary to establish

and train inspectors for NDT and radiographic film interpretation in order

to facilitate quality improvement of the inspection team to better review

activities of manufacturing and make better quality decisions. All

umbilical inspectors received the training, and achieved Level II for

UT/PT/RT by the end of March 2013. Scheduling of teams was on an

alternating shift schedule, both day and night shifts, at 12 hours per

shift and 7 days per week.

Texas Military Forces (TMF), Commanding Officer

My primary responsibility of the Texas Military Force Officer in Charge was

to promote inter-agency communications and information sharing from the

Joint Operations Information Center (JOIC) to the Unified Commands (Law

Enforcement Agencies) along the international border between Mexico and

Texas. The concept of the supporting information operations system is to

enable the Unified Command's planning for execution of timely and effective

border security operations that ultimately have an enduring effect on the

threat from Drug Cartels. In developing this concept, I was involved with

planning, designing, writing, editing and finalizing documents, manuals,

specifications, operating procedures and work schedules for use at each of

the Joint Operations Information Centers (JOIC). My tour ended on 8

September 2011 as I was then able to return to civilian employment.

Receiving Inspector/QA Manager

I was hired as the Receiving Inspection Inspector for Umbilical

Manufacturing and Flexible Tubing departments. I was able to build my

inspection skills to meet the needs of both departments rapidly and able to

improve backlog of receiving materials to facilitate parts availability in

a steady flow to manufacturing. Due to my past duties in the work force, I

was asked to assume the duties of the recent vacancy of the Quality

Assurance Manager position, which I accepted. I assumed immediate

responsibility for Quality Assurance issues for materials, services,

manufacturing, and planning for umbilical manufacturing and the flexible

pipe assembly facility. In addition to my responsibility of Product

Quality, I was also responsible for all Internal and External Audits to

assure conformance to ISO and API Standards. I planned, scheduled and

implemented all external Audits conducted on subcontractors and approved or

disapproved their access to the Approved Vendors List (AVL), based on

outcome of the audits. I was responsible for Int/Ext Quality Planning

Processes and 3rd Party Inspection liaison personnel for Houston

Operations. I reviewed and validated all purchase orders for Outsourced

Inspection Agencies that reviewed subsea umbilical manufacturing. I was

responsible for all inspection "Hold Points" on suppliers Inspection and

Test Plans (ITP) and supervised all 3rd Party inspection personnel. Liaison

with other Unit Managers to establish priorities for inspection of both

internal/external manufacturing with respect to client requirements and

schedule. My responsibility was to ensure budget compliance against annual

operations for all 3rd Party Inspection planning activities. I monitored

subcontractors to ensure that all manufactured products were within budget

while ensuring that quality standards were maintained. I was responsible

for the QMS, its development, review, audits and annual quality

improvements.

Gilmore Valve Company, Houston, TX, February 1997 to March 2004 (Lay Off)

Quality Assurance Manager

I managed all Quality aspects of production for products, materials and

services for manufacturing facilities', sourced and qualified vendors both

domestic and international. I worked with projects, sales, and production

departments to ensure that all project requirements, deliveries, and

specifications were maintained. I ensured product quality requirements of

all procured materials, including expediting as needed. Also, provided job

quote forecasts of material requirements for piece part production and

expected delivery dates for jobs through the accumulation of historical

data and sales/projects forecasts. I was trained by ABS Consulting and

achieved certification as ISO 9001:2000 QMS Auditor/Lead Auditor.

Additional Information: I received both Associate and Bachelor Degree from

Indiana/Purdue University at Indianapolis with emphasis in Industrial

Engineering (Computer Integrated Manufacturing Technology - CIMT). My

major was in mathematics, plant layout and material handling, followed with

minors in Psychology, Social and Political Science.
