A. Integrity Staffing Solutions. Now employed as warehouse associate

in Amazon.com customer returns, part time in computer processing

of returned items.

B. National Assembly Service. Parttime relationship with office

furniture function of Spar Group International. Assemble furniture for

clients Staples and OfficeMax and their customers.

C. Unity Church of Lexington. Pastor of hotel ministry serving residents

interested in Bible-based mystical spirituality and students wanting to

open their horizons. Unity meets on Sunday afternoons at The

Campbell House.

Current Capabilities

A. Retail Associate, Part Time. I can make a helpful contribution on the

part time staff of a retail store in lumber, hardware, building materials, paint,

electrical, decorating, flooring – any field allied with construction and

maintenance of buildings and residences. This promise is backed up by years of

experience in all these areas of retail. For example, I’m the person behind the

paint desk at The Home Depot or Lowe’s, the informed associate who finds your

tool or fastener or pipe fitting or paneling or millwork or the appropriate outdoor

equipment.

B. Residential maintenance and repair. I have forty years experience

working on houses of my friends and contacts. Using networking, my way is to

develop one client at a time by starting with a single project and building from

there. The client selects each job, and I work by the hour, communicating closely

with them. Trust is built with this close contact, good work, simple organization,

and reasonable rates. My skills provide for carpentry, plumbing, light electrical,

painting, wallboard, wallpaper, and such related jobs -- interior and exterior.

C. Chaplaincy. As part of my training and experience as an Ordained

Minister, I am qualified to serve as Chaplain for organizations such as hospitals,

retirement homes, prisons and jails, and businesses of many types. Special

training may be required for this work; I have proved to be an eager and

accomplished student when additional learning is appropriate..

D. Advertising and Public Relations. Having experienced a successful

twenty-year career in corporation and agency communication work, I can take on

most any kind of assignment based on writing and speaking. This includes

account management, client relations, project handling, and writing and editing of

brochures, mailing pieces, speeches, and such work.

E. Warehouse Associate, full-time or part-time. Having worked as full-

time warehouse associate for Amazon.com in its Lexington Fulfillment Facility, I

can accept any supply line position that requires long periods of standing, walking

and lifting. I can be expected to accept responsibility for the work of others and

to work within all rules and meet all requirements for timely and safe completion

of projects. I readily accept training, supervision, reporting, and the need for

punctuality.

Alvin High School, Alvin, Texas. Activities and accomplishments include Valedictorian

of Graduating Class, multiple offices and sports. Most Outstanding Science Student,

which came with a summer job as Student Engineer three summers at Dow Chemical

Company in Freeport, Texas.

The University of Texas at Austin. Bachelor of Journalism degree with specialties in

advertising and public relations. President of Alpha Delta Sigma advertising fraternity.

Member of Phi Sigma Kappa social fraternity. ROTC with commission in US Army

Corps of Engineers. First two years in College of Engineering and final years in School

of Journalism, resulting in my qualification as an engineering writer and editor.

University of California at San Francisco. Graduate work in human resources.

Unity School of Christianity, Unity Village, Missouri. Graduated from Continuing

Education Program becoming a Unity Licensed Teacher. Graduated from Ministerial

Education Program with honors, received Bible Department Scholarship, ordained a

Unity Minister for life. During time at Unity Seminary, worked as Researcher and Writer

in Bible Department and served as Editor of Vision, monthly magazine of the Association

of Unity Churches.

Experience

Dow Chemical. Student Engineer in Engineering Department. Freeport, Texas. As

Valedictorian of high school graduating class I was awarded a summer job in the

Instrumentation Section. Participated with Dow engineers in ongoing upgrades in control

instrumentation systems of the vast chemical production facilities of Dow’s Texas

Division. Returned for three summers.

US Army Corps of Engineers. Active duty two years at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Among

other duties, served as Company Commander of the 497th Engineer Company (Port

Construction), a company of 225 troops with specialty of building ports under battlefield

conditions. Honorable discharge as First Lieutenant. Served two years as Reserve

Officer in Corps of Engineers in Denver.

Marathon Oil Company, Denver Research Center, Littleton, Colorado. Worked as

Communications Specialist involving writing and editing with doctorate level engineers

and scientists reporting to management and field engineers. Half of job was community

relations in Littleton and Denver. Member of Denver Press Club, Denver Chapter of

Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), and elected President of Littleton Chamber

of Commerce. Special award from Colorado Petroleum Council for Chairmanship of

Speakers Bureau and presentations in Colorado and surrounding states.

Chevron Inc, then Standard Oil Company of California, San Francisco. Served as Editor

and Writer of Chevron publications in Human Resources Department.. Traveled

extensively in US and Canada for information on Chevron employees and their work,

then writing articles for publication.

Union Pacific Railroad, Houston. Served as Public Relations Representative in Texas

and Louisiana. Member of Texas Press Association and Louisiana Press Association,

Houston Chapter of Public Relations Society of America, and Houston Press Club.

Texaco Inc, Houston. Served as Manager of Public Relations for corporation in Central

US, mainly in Texas, Illinois, and Louisiana. Worked in Houston Chamber of Commerce

as Chairman of Houston’s award-winning “Operation Sparkle,” the clean-up, paint-up,

fix-up campaign; attended Beautify America convention in New York to receive Most

Outstanding Beautiful City award. Attained “Accredited Status” in Public Relations

Society of America, highest rank in the profession of public relations. .

Rives, Dyke/Young&Rubicam, Houston’s largest advertising agency. Served as Account

Executive and Writer. Handled some accounts in United Kingdom and developed a kind

of mailer and brochure to serve smaller companies in their promotion and sales.

The Christopher Associates, Houston. Founded an agency for special advertising and

public relations projects, such as promotional mailers and brochures, magazine and radio

advertising, open houses and tours, publicity, financial publications, media relations, and

a myriad of other communications tasks. Working one project at a time for each client,

called it “The Advertising Store.” Conducted this business for four years without a

losing month from the beginning.

Name Change. During this period went to district court in Houston to have my name

officially changed from adopted name of Danny Ray Lambden to birth name of David

Ray Pickett. Followed up with registration of new name with Texas Division of Motor

Vehicles, IRS, and Social Security Administration. (Copy of name change Court Order

available, if needed. Current driver license and US Passport in new name also. Birth

certificate in adopted name also available. It is still legal for me to use either name in

special situations, like matters related to my adopted parents’ gravesite.)

Residential Work. During all my work assignments I have worked as Handyman for

clients on residential projects in carpentry, sheetrock, painting, concrete, fencing,

wallpaper, gardening, and many other crafts.

Unity Church of Bucks County, Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Started new church here and

worked part time for Unity Church of Philadelphia.

Unity Church of Christianity, Houston. Served as Associate Minister for church with

more than 1500 members. Conducted some ninety weddings and 25 memorial services,

taught classes, and worked in spiritual counseling.

Unity Church Westside, Houston. Started Unity church which met in Marriot Hotel in

West Houston with about 75 members.

Unity Center of Light, Grand Junction, Colorado. Served as Minister of church with

about 150 members which also had a day school for elementary-age children. Also

worked in hospice.

Payless Cashways/Furrows, Dallas and Houston. Worked in sales and service for

hardware and lumber company between ministerial assignments.

Fairway Sales and Service, Marble Falls, Texas. Owned and operated a lawn mower and

golf car business with sales, service, and parts. Learned much more about the details of

retail business with strong customer support in a “rough and tumble” country setting.

Church of Conscious Harmony, Austin, Texas. For more than eleven years, I served as

Facility Manager for church with twelve acres and nine buildings. Working with

volunteers, responsible for maintenance, cleaning, and grounds.

UT-Austin Activities. Member of learning activities program at UT-Austin, called

LAMP, a unit of Osher Life-Long Learning Institute. Newsletter Editor for two years.

Unity Churches in Central Texas. Substitute as Sunday Minister for churches in Austin,

San Antonio, San Marcos, New Braunfels, and Kerrville. Served as Minister for Unity

Church of Boerne. Founded Unity Church of Wimberley. Conducted study groups in

Marble Falls and Bandera.

Amazon.com. Worked as a seasonal warehouse associate in the Lexington facility for

order fulfillment of the internet retailer, Amazon.com. Ten-hour shifts included work in

box-fabrication, packing, shipping, and induction. Learned to operate and maintain

eleven box-making machines and instructed other associates in this area. This was a fast-

paced, hard working assignment requiring ten hours of standing and walking each day,

four to six days a week. Completed the seasonal assignment in good standing.
