Accomplishments:

I was part of a leadership program in high school. There was no certificate offered but

essentially for three days several schools would get together and go up north to a camp

called Camp Konkora. I’ve gone there 3 out of my 5 years in high school. I was a camper

as well as a mentor. As a mentor I was able to take initiative and lead my team and help

them interact with each other. I was able to obtain the confidence that I now have and

have been developing over the years as well as the courage to do things that I wouldn’t

have done before. Now I am able to interact with someone I have never met before first,

and taking the lead on my own.

I was also part of a robotics team where we built a robot and competed in a robotics

competition. I didn’t actually built the robot, but I did little things like thinking up

different ideas, giving suggestions and helping out in any way that I was able to.

For 4 years of my high school life I did public speaking I front of the school.

Essentially, we had a spiritual counselor, and for Remembrance Day several students and

I would say a poem or a speech in front of the whole student body. I also helped with the

welcome of the first year students.

Interests:

I like snowboarding, knitting, sewing, drawing, reading fantasy books and I especially

like books about magic or an alternative universe, writing my own stories which are also

mostly fantasy or magic stories, going to the cinema to watch movies with my family,

rollercoaster rides and going overseas anywhere around the world.
