• Duties: Knowledge of electrical theory such as power factor, transformers, series and parallel circuits, line
loading, line losses, and dielectric or conductive properties of materials in order to calculate circuit values,
determine when operating limitations of equipment are exceeded, etc. I plan and carry through most
operations in the installation or troubleshooting such as repairing switch gear, installing and hooking up
transformers, locating defects in cables, or selecting materials to make installations or oscillator and tone
detector to locate faults in underground cables, or to use phasing stick or phase rotation meter to check out
rotation of cables before switching into a hot circuit. Install, repair, and maintain commonly used electric
power generating and distributing equipment. Determine types and sizes of wire, conduits, transformers, etc.,
and methods of installation and repair to assure proper and safe operation of distribution systems, using
knowledge of equipment capability, and of modifying factors such as local operating conditions. Read and
understand circuit diagrams of interconnections such as the generators, buses, switches, and circuit breakers.
Knowledge of the makeup, operation, and installation of a variety of electrical systems, circuits, equipment,
and controls, for example, wiring systems in research complexes and in buildings, power and control circuits,
and distribution panels. Test, repair, modify and overhaul a variety of equipment such as AC/DC motors,
transformers, generators, remote controls, relays, power control panels, and electrical power equipment. Refer
to blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer specifications, diagnose malfunctions by visual inspection
and by using testing equipment such as micrometers, voltmeters, ammeters, and meggers. I have the ability to
plan, lay out, and complete the installation, modification, and repair of various systems, circuits, equipment,
and controls such as the routing, placement, balance, load, continuity, and proper and safe operation of
circuits and controls to industrial machinery and wiring systems in buildings, and research and development
systems. Assist other craftsman such as plumbers and carpenters on site by doing various jobs, getting tools
for them, assembling component and drive motor vehicles both privately and company owned to and from
work sites. In my job I also help out in the receiving, storage, issuing and inventory management. I operate a
variety of motor vehicles to pickup and deliver supplies, materials, and equipment to suppliers and to the
worksite such as lumber/wood products, wallboard, cement, electrical supplies and other building materials.
Skilled in operating an electric, gasoline, or diesel powered fork lift to load and unload materials. Skilled in
stacking, moving and arranging items on pallets and skilled in considering height, weight and special
handling requirements. Ability to use pallet measuring gauges and automated devices to ensure that proper
height, weight and other load and storage requirements are met and damage in storage or transit is prevented.

conduit and pulled wires; ran telephone and television lines; placed boxes for lights, speakers, and doorbells;
wired circuits and main circuit breakers; installed switches, receptacles, new services and HVAC equipment;
finalized rough-ins; repaired and installed ceiling fans. Knowledge of appliance hook-ups including garbage
disposals, dishwashers, ovens, cook tops, water heaters, well pumps, etc. Installed circuit panels up to 600
amps, sub panels and generator panels including cutting in all the panels and installing breakers for each
circuit. Installation of disconnects, meters, and transfer switches which involves grounding; floor heat;
landscape lighting; low voltage wiring including low voltage lighting and security wiring. Commercial:
Measuring, cutting, bending and running conduit. Running mc cable and box wire for circuits. Worked on
pool pumps and three phase circuits. I have the ability to read blue prints, laying out all circuits, and
knowledge of electrical codes.
