highlights on my expertise and accomplishments.

As you will note, my background is diversified including hands-on experience with many phases of electrical and mechanical

technologies – lasers, fiber optic systems, vision systems, high speed data acquisition, PLC systems, motion control systems,

hydraulic and pneumatic pressure and flow control systems, robotic systems, analog and digital circuitry, panel layouts, motor

starters and switching gears. I am also familiar with many types of computer applications, supervisory systems, MMI’s and some

high level languages.

I have written programs for productivity analysis as well as SPC functions. I have been involved in many facets of quality and

quality control methodologies including but not limited to TQS, QS9000, ISO9001 and 6 Sigma. I have also been involved with

multiple types of team based work systems and lean manufacturing concepts. I have worked with and /or developed multiple

types of preventative maintenance programs and applications. This includes but is not limited to TPS and TPM.

My experience is obviously broad - deliberately pursued to increase my value in a production or manufacturing setting. It is a

background that for the most part was as a contractual engineer that could offer organizations immediate productivity for both

short and long-term projects. My background has also provided me the opportunity to be a leader and mentor of technical

personnel.

My experience in work force supervision and project management is also quite diverse. As you will notice I have performed at

these positions in a variety of manufacturing facilities and Engineering firms. I have had extensive experience with a variety of

manufacturing facility start-ups as well. I am well versed in Lean Manufacturing Principles as well as Lean Maintenance

principles. I have a proven record in the design, implementation and qualification of systems and equipment that have met

schedules at or below determined budgets.

I am willing to travel to accomplish the tasks that are asked of me. I am willing and capable of a position that requires my

attention in a 24 hours 7 day a week operation. I am also willing to relocate to any convenient location to satisfy the need for my

per day over three shifts, without increasing assembly personnel.

• Project managed the design, procurement, installation, qualification and user training of a multi-million dollar electronic

production fail-safe system that integrated an Allen-Bradley PLC platform with a VMS and MS Access database platform

and bar code readers in conjunction with a passive RF Tag system.

• Project managed the design, procurement, installation, qualification and user training of a $200,000 wireless

communications system utilized for records keeping of received materials and shipped product.

• 6 Sigma team member on multiple process improvement applications.

status. Responsible for systems integration and functional operation of the Production / Manufacturing machinery and tooling

required to meet production start-up needs. Major responsibilities included:

• Project Management of installation and qualification of multiple pieces of equipment ranging from $100,000 to $1,500,000.

• Redesigned equipment, PLC programs and tooling as product changes occurred or quality issues arose.

• Assisted in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing concepts into the production environment.

Hood Industries, Inc. Coushatta, Louisiana CONTRACT ENGINEER / CONSULTANT 1990 to 1992

Contractually supervised a crew of thirty in the electrical and mechanical maintenance of the entire plant. Activities included

calibration and maintenance of various types of DC drive systems as well as Allen Bradley PLC analog controls. Scheduled

maintenance during non-production hours. Troubleshot problems as they occurred due to overstressing of AC/DC drives and

motors. Implemented the preventative maintenance program, and upgraded PLC programs as processes changed and

requirements demanded. Supervised the eventual demolition and relocation of the plant site.

Spectrolab, Inc. Sylmar, California SENIOR FIELD ENGINEER 1984 to 1990

Responsible for the research and development of highly sensitive, high-speed data acquisition systems and their subsequent

installation, calibration and maintenance training at the customer’s facility. Developed new electro-mechanical equipment to

simulate the environment at air mass 0 for satellite testing, this included the programming and software debugging for these

systems. Responsible for the optical and spectral calibration of high intensity solar simulators for photovoltaic test equipment

used in thermal vacuum chambers. Supervised a crew of eleven. I completed my engineering degree while employed here.
