Working in Evaluation and Monitoring of the Impact of Sea Level Rise on
Previous the Coastal Zone of Port-Said City Jan. 2014
Projects I was the PI of this project working with a research team
since Jan 2014 till July 2014. The main goal of this project
is to conduct a geo-environmental assessment using geospatial
analysis for port-said, Egypt coastline, with specific
concern on the impact of global change and rise on its coastal
environment.
Projects contribution during the period (June 2005 - May 2008)
at USA :
- Jan, 2008 - May, 2008, Marsh dieoff extraction and change
analysis along the Georgia coast during 2002 and 2003,
Georgia Department of Environmental Protection-funded Marine
Extension project, University of Georgia.
Image classification of ortho-rectified aerial photographs to
create image objects of healthy, stressed and dead marsh at
different scales using Visual Learning System's Feature
Analyst
- June, 2006 - May, 2008, Vegetation Mapping for Appalachian
Highland Network, US National Park Service. Three Parks: Blue
Ridge Parkway, Big South Fork National River and Recreation
Area and Obed Wild and Scenic River. Center for Remote Sensing
and Mapping Science (CRMS), University of Georgia project.
Feature extraction from georeferenced overlays of vegetation
using Visual Learning System's Feature Analyst
Feature editing, edge matching, topology building, attribute
editing.
Creating GIS models that facilitate the multiprocessing
processing of the data and reduce working time.
PhD Project: Geo-environmental Assessment and Integrated
Landuse Planning Using Remote Sensing and GIS of the Qaa
Plain, Southwestern Sinai, Egypt.
Applying the remote sensing and GIS techniques in assessing
the geo-environment of the coastal plains and analyzing their
suitability for future landuse planning. This includes
converting all the available data to digital databases,
generating DEMs and adopting models and programming scripts in
GIS environment.
Research Project at National institute of Oceanography, Goa,
India 1999: Sedimentology, Mineralogy and Geochemistry of
modern Sediments from Rosetta Branch Nile Delta, Egypt.
An investigation was devoted to study some sedimentological,
mineralogical, and geochemical characters (major, trace and
biogenic constituents) of the modern bottom sediments of
Rosetta Nile branch on the northwestern Nile Delta of Egypt,
aimed at evaluating their source and the geological processes
controlling their distribution. Efforts are also made to
assess the possible effects of industrial, agricultural and
human wastes on the sediment.
M.Sc Project: Geological Studies on the Recent Sediments of
River Nile Near Greater Cairo Area - Egypt.
An investigation was devoted to study the sedimentological,
mineralogical and geochemical characters of the sediment of
and the depositional environment of River Nile near Greater
