Centennial College and also worked as a placement student at Corbrook Centre. Here I was
responsible for assisting youth with learning and physical disabilities to engage in programs to
improve their knowledge and skills. I created and implemented activities to assist clients’ with
improving their math, reading, and writing abilities. My work was very fulfilling and I developed
positive connections through one-to-one interactions with each and every client. I gained
experience in facilitating groups of clients who had learning disabilities and behavioural
difficulties. I assisted staff to prepare and deliver programs designed to help clients to become
more independent, improve their self-esteem, and enhance their quality of life.
