Employment History:
10/2011-3/2012: Bartz-Altadonna Community Health Center, Chief Operating Officer in
charge of daily operations for one primary care clinic and one specialty care clinic. Lead
the preparation for the first FQHC audit which we passed with a score of 95%.
5/06-9/11: Director of Primary Care and Specialty Services, Tarzana Treatment Centers,
Tarzana, CA. (See below for description of position).
10/05-5/06: Staff RN, Antelope Valley Hospital, Tele/Med/Surg unit, days, 12 hour
shifts. Provided care in a team atmosphere to adult patients.
2/01-10/05: Director of Primary Care and Specialty Services, Tarzana Treatment Centers,
Tarzana, CA. Director of three Primary Care clinics and three HIV/Infectious Disease
clinics located at three different sites. Responsible for operations (over 250 visits per
day), budgets, contracts, and all staffing needs as well as all hiring and evaluations.
11/99-2/01: Child Care Supervisor, Pioneer Boys Ranch, Santa Clarita, CA. Supervisor
with oversight duties for childcare in four boys’ group homes. Age of residents was
seven to eighteen.
10/97-10/99: Associate Director, Mental Health, VA Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA.
In charge of 153 acute care inpatient beds, 20 outpatient clinics. Daily operations
Director for 400 staff. I developed a QI/QM process for Mental Health services, which
was at a standstill prior to my taking the position. I was in charge for the JCAHO survey
and our programs received an overall 98%, with no Type I recommendations.
12/96-5/97: Director of education for 175 bed Gardena Memorial Hospital, Gardena CA.
Developed educational programs for the nursing and hospital support staff.
1/93-5/97: Relief House Supervisor; Emergency Room staff RN, Garfield Medical
Center, Monterey Park, CA. 224 bed Acute Care Hospital that maintains a 97%
occupancy rate. Supervisor for all areas of hospital on the 7P-7A shifts on the weekends.
Hospital has ICU, CCU,NICU, SICU, OB, PEDS, ER, and general medical/surgical
units.
1/89-12/96: Professional Marketing and Administrative Associates. Developed my own
healthcare consulting firm which focused on private, group, and hospital based medical
practices. Specialized in consulting with physicians regarding their office infrastructure
and how best to maximize their support staff and overall practice needs. In addition, I
marketed medical and mental/behavioral health practices to HMO companies and to
business and industry. In three years I expanded one multi-specialty group’s HMO
enrollment from 17,000 to 50,000 members. I also had the opportunity to develop
medical practices from beginning to fully functioning healthcare practices.
Military Experience:
United States Air Force, Medic in charge of base enlisted personnel periodic and
discharge physicals at Castle Air Force Base, Merced, CA. Honorably discharged.

1) 1988-1997: Assistant Cubmaster and Weblow Den Leader for both son’s Cub Scout
Den.
2) 1994-1997: Boy Scout advancement advisor with older son’s Boy Scout Troop.
3) 1997-2000: Coach for son’s football team.
4) 1998-2000: Coach for daughter’s softball team.
5) Organized with other committee members, all high school reunions for Burbank High
School.
