depropanizer, binary refrigerant & propylene refrigerant area.

Project Low pressure recovery (LPR) and olefin

conversion unit (OCU), Vietnam

Description

Low pressure recovery unit is used to recover light end hydrocarbons (C1-

C4) from refinery offgases, while olefin conversion Technology is used to

combine butenes with ethylene to produce polymer grade propylene through

metathesis reaction.

Major roles & responsibilities as Process Engineer II include:

. Process simulations to develop heat and material balance for olefin

conversion and regeneration unit.

. Equipment sizing (towers and pumps).

. Preparation of interlock description and cause & effect diagram.

. Preparation of safety relieve valve (PSV) data sheets and flare load

calculations.

. Development of P&ID for olefin conversion, binary refrigeration, and

regeneration unit.

. Preparation of supervisory operating manual.

Project(s) Propane Dehydrogenation (CATOFIN ), South Korea and

China

Description

The CATOFIN process uses fixed bed reactors to produce propylene from

propane dehydrogenation. Operating conditions are selected to optimize the

complex relationship among conversion, selectivity, and energy consumption.

Major roles & responsibilities as Process Engineer II include:

. Equipment sizing (towers, compressor, drums, pumps, and dryers).

. Preparation of interlock description, and safety relieve valve (PSV) data

sheets.

. Development of P&ID for entire unit along with propylene refrigeration

area.

. Utility balance (cooling water and fuel gas).

. Preparation of analytical methods' manual.

. Preparation of technical responses to client (South Korea) queries.

Project Delayed Coking, Poland; Light Olefin Recovery,

Delayed coking technology is an effective route for converting/ upgrading

heavy residual stocks to more valuable light distillate products and coke.
