Career Summary
I am a level headed, safety oriented, detail minded and mechanically inclined licensed
Journeyman Plumber. I am in search of a challenging enviroment where I could put my
diverse mechanical and leadership skills to improve production, safety and to increase the
bottom line. I have experience in building / facility maintenance and manufacturing. I
have had many years of management and supervisory titles and responsibilities. With

Licensed Plumber
Having served and completed an apprenticeship with Local 130 Plumbers of Chicago,
and with the experience I have acquired on numerous job sites, I have learned many
aspects of the plumbing industry. These aspects include: layout, rough in, trim
installation, testing and servicing numerous DWV, water supply, gas supply and vacuum
systems, using a variety of piping / tubing and joining methods. These methods include
cutting and threading, soldering, brazing, hubbed and hubless cast iron, thermal and
chemical bonding as well as Victaulic and Orion piping . All of these practices
complying with jurisdictional code and A.D.A. laws.

2001 - 2006 Wrapping Machine Operator / Trainer
Responsibilities : Perform independent operation of high speed wrapping machines.
Frequently perform quality assurance checks by inspecting gum quality, packaging
defects and material issues.
Troubleshoot machinery breakdowns, clean machine jams, realign and restart machinery.
Train other employees to do same.
Liaison between all operators in all departments and manufacturing to identify and
address issues concerning gum quality and help to improve it.
Member of containment prevention team.
Member of Emergency Response Team trained in firefighting, first aid, hazardous waste
containment and removal and confined space entry.
2000 - 2001 Housekeeping Supervisor
Oversaw 34 employees ensuring proper practices were followed in the cleaning and
sanitation of the entire facility including laboratories and research and development.
Other responsibilities included maintaining employee records, scheduling, ordering
supplies and enforcing safety procedures including L.O.T.O. and good manufacturing
principles .
1988 - 1999 Greater Chicago Auto Auction, Alsip, IL
1996 - 1999 Mechanic Shop Manager / Quality Control Supervisor
I opened the mechanic shop from the ground up which entailed overseeing installation
of all lifts, tools and equipment all while managing to stay under budget. I performed
interviews, hiring and firing employees, negotiated prices on all supplies and inventory. I
prepared estimates, billing, productivity and budgetary reports, schedule work and
payroll. I also managed and negotiated contracts with national accounts such as Ryder
Trucks and Ford. I started practices still used at the facility today and still generating
revenue.
1994 - 1996 Body Shop Manager
I managed 63 employees in the reconditioning process. I managed estimate writers, body
shop employees, preppers, painters, paint mixers and polishers.
1992 - 1994 Prep Shop Supervisor
I supervised 25 employees preparing vehicles to paint in preparation for the sale.
1988 - 1992 Buffer/Polisher Buff Shop Supervisor
I supervised 10 employees buffing and polishing hundreds of vehicles weekly. Every
vehicle needed my signature before employees were paid for that vehicle ensuring quality
work was performed.
