I.C.U, Renal Transplant, dialysis, various operation theatres(Cardiac,Oncolgy,General and

Neurology),Cardiothoracic Vascular Surgery unit, Day Care Centres, Oncology Department,Dental,Cathlabs, Critical Care Unit, Neurotrauma Unit,High Dependency Unit, emergency

Medical Services,speciality clinics and diagnostic departments(CT scan,MRI,Radiation,PET

scan,Gamma scan,USG and X-rays)and all types of pathologic and microbiologic labs etc.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Perform nursing assessment:plan,implement and evaluate nursing care rendered.

2) Observe and monitor closely the patients,report undue development to the physician as

needed.

3) Nursing documentation in brief,accurate and complete manner.

4) Taking care of patients(adult and paediatric)undergone cardiac surgeries-CABG,ASD

closure,VSD closure,TOF,Benthal procedure,BT shunt,Hemi-Fontan etc,respiratory failure and

COPD patients.

5) Work independently with other health professionals.

6) Provide chest physiotherapy to patients,nebulization,collection of specimens.

7) Obtain ECG,IV cannulation and insertion of urinary catheter,nasogastric tube,wound dressing

and blood transfusion.

8) Assist physician during procedures like central venous catherization,dialysis cannulation

insertion, arterial line.lumbar puncture,pleural tapping, bedside endoscopies, intubation,

tracheostomy,suturing and suture removal etc.

9) Initiate CPR during Cardio Pulmonary Arrest.

10) Care of unconscious patients,ICD etc.

11) Set up tubing for mechanical ventilators and device check for ready case.

12) Maintaining interpersonal relatrionship with patients,relatives,doctors,co-workers and other

hospital staff.

13) To promote safety and prevent spread of infection.

14) Care of patients with CAVHD and CVVHD.

15) Care of dead patients.
