Dear Ms. Morales,
My name is Alyssa Savino and I would like to be considered for your
Outpatient Therapist position in Raleigh. I graduated with a MSW degree
from the UNC School of Social Work this May, and currently have my LCSWA.
My internships and coursework at The School of Social Work have provided me
with diverse experiences that have prepared me to work as a therapist.
These experiences have further cultivated a heart for working with children
and individuals that are experiencing mental health and behavioral
concerns.
This year I have gained a proficiency in employing psychotherapy with
individuals of various ages and mental health concerns. I engaged three
child therapy cases with play therapy and CBT techniques. I also worked
with three parent therapy cases, helping the parents better understand and
respond to the unique challenges of parenting children with mental health
and behavioral issues. Each week, I also performed biopsychosocial
assessments on children that came to the Wake Med Behavior Clinic for
medication management. I worked as part of an interdisciplinary team of
psychiatrists and social workers to make treatment decisions and
recommendations for these clients.
I am excited for the opportunity to be a part of an organization whose
mission is committed to the mental health and wellbeing of the individuals
it serves. I enthusiastically look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Alyssa Savino
