Project Name - SBI General Insurance.

Technology/Software Java/J2EE, Servlets, Eclipse, Gwt/Gxt, IBM Rational Clear case, WinSCP,

Bugzilla, HP QC, SOA.

SBI General Insurance System covers the entire lifecycle of general insurance operations like

Quotation, Policy Issuance, Underwriting, Inwarding, Scanning, Receipting, Endorsement, Renewal,

Claims, Sales and Marketing management, Customer management, Reinsurance Business and many

supporting functions, e.g., reporting and document management.

Product Development: Based on the requirement, product will be developed using java,

hibernate and other technologies. This development also includes creation of cover types, benefits,

Page creation, Premium computation logic and validation rules.

Policy Issuance & Endorsement: Based on the product selected by the customer, cover type

and the policy information will change dynamically. Premium amount is calculated. Quote is

processed for Payment which is followed by Policy Issuance. Any change in the policy is

Endorsement. The two types of endorsement: Premium & Non-Premium bearing endorsements.

Reinsurance Business: The practice of insurers transferring portions of risk portfolios to other

parties by some form of agreement. Basis the customer’s requirement, additional features are

provided by customizing eBao’s Reinsurance process using Java/J2EE Technologies. Reinsurance can

be Outward and Inward Business process. Reinsurance is categorized into Proportional and Non-

Proportional reinsurance.

Requirement Analysis, Design, Coding, Unit Testing, Defect prevention, and various production

issues.

Being a member of the core Development team,

Handled Reinsurance module development, this would involve the core development using

Core Java & J2EE technologies and Hibernate.

To analyze business requirements and to deliver Low-level design document, accompanied

with the appropriate artifacts.

To develop online forms used by agents using HTML, JSP to capture the customer information,

their account information and liability/asset information

To perform field level validations using JavaScript.

Developed multiple GWT -based web application (from client to server)
