Assisting Senior Pastor in the implementation of the Church’s vision and goals, and providing

leaders according to their spiritual gifts; assisting the Pastoral/Ministry Staff in developing a

comprehensive ministry strategy and program and leading the adult ministries of the church; helping

the Pastoral/Ministry Staff recruit, develop, train and empower servant leaders in their specific area of

ministry; providing on going evaluation personal coaching for the Pastoral/Ministry Staff; assisting the

Senior Pastor in the membership/assimilation process and participating in teaching one of the

membership classes; assisted in development and oversight of Congregational Care and a lay

counseling ministry; responsible for Adult Fellowships; Sunday Morning Elective Classes, and

recruiting, training and equipping all adult teachers; overseeing the Adult Ministry Team budget and

Discipleship Pastor – June 1993 to January 1998

Provided a complete and integrated discipleship program for adults, to staff; trained leaders and disciplers, and

attracted parishioners to become involved in the program.

programs as one to one discipleship, small group ministries and discovery classes. Kept discipleship

visible as an integral part of the adult ministries. trained and recruited lay people to serve in discipleship

activities; maintaining personal contact with individuals, couples, families, and programs as they pertain

to discipleship ministry; coordinating discipleship ministries with other adult ministries of the church;

participating in pastoral functions outside of discipleship ministries, as assigned by the Executive Pastor

for Program Ministry or the Senior Pastor.
