Strategic Planner
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and synchronizing training resources for multinational and US Forces for
Training. Develop long range training plans to; manage training requirements for US and Multinational Forces in Europe,
schedule and synchronize training exercises for all US Army Europe units deploying to Afghanistan, and synchronize the
transformation programs which provide continuous improvements to JMTC's support in Europe. Develops, reviews, and
disseminates policy for training throughout USAREUR.
• Successfully implemented resource specific meetings that required special coordination for an aviation
training unit. Bringing in all the necessary expertise to run a safe live fire training exercise.

Battalion Executive Officer
Responsible for training, maintaining, and well-being of all Soldiers and their Families of a Combined Arms Battalion
(CAB) comprising of six Companies, 922 Soldiers, 32 Bradley Fighting Vehicles, 29 M1A2 Abram Tanks, and 205
Tactical Vehicles. Trains staff personnel in operations procedures, briefing methods and sequence of staff actions.
Formulates staff policy insuring staff personnel perform within their assigned duties and functional areas. Responsible for
the development of plans and programs which effectively manage the unit's resources to ensure readiness. Coordinates
details and requirements between the battalion and higher level staff in response to unit needs.
• Maintained an Operational readiness rate of 90% or greater during my tour as the XO.
• Integrated several Department of State entities, contractors and adjacent units in order to successfully
protect the base and train the Iraqi Army on collective Armor training tasks.
• Planned and executed 7 Battalion sized operations for an Afghan Infantry Battalion as an advisor team
leader.
• Was able to professionally develop a foreign infantry Battalion into an independent unit able to plan and
conduct military operations without US assistance.
• Developed and implemented a training plan that trained over 60 Soldiers in the Afghan BN on Counter
IED skills incorporating mounted patrolling, dismounted patrolling and mine detector training to increase the
unit’s ability to survive and defeat the IED threat in its area.
• Deployed and re-deployed the battalion to Iraq and was selected to lead and over watch two companies
conducting training missions with the Iraqi Armor Corp.
• Led the unit into Kuwait for redeployment, managed and directed the team to complete a 10 day process
in 4 days, turning in over 5 companies’ worth of equipment.

• Manage the Units budget and ensure parts and supplies are regulated.
• Managed vehicle licensing and safety courses all drivers were required to attend.

Battalion Operations Officer
Served as the primary for developing training plans for staff personnel in operations procedures, briefing methods and
sequence of staff actions. Formulates staff policy insuring staff personnel perform within their assigned duties and
functional areas. Responsible for the development of plans and programs which effectively manage the unit's resources to
ensure readiness. Coordinates details and requirements between the battalion and higher level staff in response to unit
needs.
• Developed supervised and executed sound well integrated comprehensive plans that allowed the Battalion
to complete rest operations and develop its core competencies in preparation for a deployment overseas.
• Developed Bradley Gunnery for the entire Brigade effectively and efficiently qualifying of 80 combat
crews.
• Planned, developed and resourced an efficient training plan that enabled 14 maneuver platoons to
complete a live fire and certify on time to enable the unit to deploy to the National Training Center prepared to
train, fight and win.
• Lead two maneuver companies and over saw Training for the Iraqi armor corp, while also managing the
defense of our base. Developed relationships with the state department and other organizations to facilitate
training and a safe working environment.
• Planned and executed an operational deployment overseas for the entire battalion of over 700 Soldiers.
US Army Baghdad, Iraq April, 2007-June 2009
Military Transition Team Leader
Served as the Team Chief of a National Police Transition Team. Responsible for the training, care, development
and performance of the team. Responsible for teaching, coaching and mentoring a Battalion and Brigade level
staff and eventually moved up to training and mentoring the staff of a Division. Responsible for developing
training and prioritizing the units efforts to operate effectively in its Area of Operation. Required to facilitate a
viable partnership with two US Brigade Combat Teams. Coordinating US military effects on behalf of the Iraqi
security forces on the ground. Enabled individual and collective training, supported fielding and maintenance of
new equipment and how to properly employ it in the unit’s area of responsibility.
• Developed relationships across the operational environment to enable the Iraqi unit we worked in to
effectively analyze and develop intelligent driven operations leading to the capture on the Coalitions #1 most
wanted individual in our sector.
• Chosen to Develop the Iraqi National Police Division G3 in charge of operational employment of the
Police Division.
• Executed over 136 mounted combat patrols without incident in one of the most active sectors in Baghdad.
• Conducted weekly coordination meetings with the Division staff to enable them to achieve purpose driven
operations.

• Developed professional relationships that enabled the team to save over 500,000 dollars annually using a
single source justification to use a provider for resources necessary to conduct operations.
• Developed a financial training class for all employees on how to better manage their finances and
effectively aided 7 employees on how to get out of debt by developing an individual plan that was unique for
them.
• Developed a justification for a proposed budget while a congressional audit of our records was being
done. Passing with flying colors due to documentation the team developed to support our current spending plans
and next fiscal year’s budget projection.
• Re-wrote a contractual agreement with our current rental agency saving the organization an additional
100,000 dollars annually by developing a tracking method for the entire rental fleet of vehicles. Justified what
vehicles were needed for to support operations and why.
