Current Objective:
Employment in the Medical Field to gain knowledge/experience before starting Medical School
Status:
Bachelors of Science in Psychology and minor in Chemistry from Western Oregon University
with pre-professional of medicine.
Current and Past Work Experience:
~Volunteer at Salem Hospital IMCU - July 2010- present ( 6 hours a week):
Work Responsibilities – Organize patient charts and data entry in the computer (Microsoft
excel). Making appointments, filling bills of patients, providing receipt of money, and
undertaking any banking procedures. Monitoring the clinical and stationery supply levels.
Booking and organizing doctors and staff meeting as directed. Maintaining office supplies
and forms to carry out. Faxing documents and preparing them for mail-out. Answering
telephone calls from either the department or outside the hospital. Assist patient families
including helping to transport patients to various departments. Assist Nurse Manager with
filing and documentation; take care of patient’s needs and guide families in support of their
visit to their loved ones. Always willing to be there for the patients during Holidays if they
don’t have family and friends. I’m also a volunteer trainer for new coming students
whenever need it.
~Volunteer; Chemeketa Community College 8-10 hours for 11 weeks (March 2010-June 2010)
Work Responsibilities -organize productions settings, design clothes for actors, make settings
with wood and painting that need to be done, assist with the technical director and the other
volunteer to make sure everything runs smoothly, stay for extra hours if need so .
