Manager on contract: Acted as in-house operations manager for warehouse

operations; headed all carrier negotiations, managed distribution, managed

customer accounts, etc.

Independent Consultant: Provided a variety of logistics/warehousing

consultation services to clientele (negotiations, carrier

selections/routing, invoice audit, employee training, warehouse

organization, cycle counts, etc.).

Mitsui Soko U.S.A., Inc. (2006 - 2010)

Senior Manager: Managed warehousing and distribution operations for all on-

site accounts including S&B, Otafuku, Toshiba, Sony, Onkyo, and 30+ other

accounts of various size and product types, managed warehouse facility

(285,000 sq. ft.), headed all "Kaizen" projects, worked as logistics/supply

chain troubleshooter for out of state accounts, headed the trafficking

dept., managed ISO 9000 program for the warehouse operation, managed all

domestic transportation requirements, managed all transportation claims,

managed company fleet, appointed to be the logistics operation auditor for

Logistics Manager: Managed all domestic distribution and receiving

operations for the Thermal Media Group (outgoing shipments of $6 to $8

million per month), managed warehousing of thermal paper products in up to

four separate warehouse locations at one time, managed production support

operations, worked closely with QA/QC to resolve customer claim issues,

headed import and export operations, headed all carrier

selection/negotiations (drayage carrier, common carriers, truckload

carriers, intermodal carriers, and international forwarders), audited

carrier billing for accuracy, acted as troubleshooter for all

transportation related issues, managed company fleet, managed ISO 14000

program for department.

Upon taking over position, dramatically reduced the number of carriers

previously in place for domestic distribution from 32 to 7 for maximum

efficiency and cost reduction.

Implemented a trafficking program that dramatically improved distribution

efficiency and resulted in an annual savings of over $350,000 with 98%

equipment coverage year round (FTL & intermodal).
